Well, having finally watched the DVD's, I can say for certain that the scene you are recalling hasn't been present in either past video releases or on laserdisc. I've viewed 'Raiders' enough on past formats to be 100% sure that the dialog you refer to is not in the film.

I remember (sort of) the dialog you mentioned, from perhaps a written source, ie: novel, screenplay or comic book adaption, which I've read maybe half a dozen times combined, so can't say for certain.

I'm thinking that might be the answer though...
