I know that a lot of the movies and TV programs that show the era of the 1930's and before used to have a pool of old vehicles to pull from. Most of the old Elliot Ness program of the 1960's used cars owned by the studio that produced the show. Since then, most of the studios have removed the old vehicles from inventory, and depend on private owners and collectors to supply them cars (for a rental price). There's a fellow at the Fedora Lounge who has had his old Ford coupe show up in a quite a few movies and tv shows. He says they even audition cars to see if they will fit in a particular program. You know, cars that are dead on era accurate appear in the close ups, and those that are not 100% can show in the background or street scene shots. Regards. Michaelson
