: He felt something on the ground. He saw a speck of light hitting the ground and saw what it wasÖsnakes. Snakes of various kinds, surrounding his fear. He poked at them with his cane and said, ěIíve got to do something,î as he frantically looked around a way to get rid of the snakes.

: Micki was looking around for her mother and grandfather, rubbing her head and said, ěWhere am I?î
: She got up and looked around. She followed a light and saw her grandfather poking the ground furiously with his cane, called out, ěGrandpa!î
: ěHe canít hear you,î said a voice.
: Micki turned around and said, ěWhoís there?î
: ěYour worst fear,î as a big Tarantula came from behind. Micki screamed a bit and started to run.
: Then Micki stopped as the spider said, ěAfraid of me, little girl?î
: ěNo,î summoning her courage, ěYouíre just a figment of my imagination. You want to frighten me and not to find Valinor.î
: The spider screamed and disappeared in smoke as Micki turned and looked at her grandfather, and called out, ěGrandpa. Itís an illusion.î
: ěMicki? Thereís a bunch of snakes here. Donít come closer.î
: ěGrandpa, listen to me. This cave is playing on peopleís fears. IT just played on my fear of spiders, and now on your fear of snakes.î
: ěWhat?î as he looked at the ground and saw the snakes. Micki yelled and said, ěTrust me, Grandpa.î
: Indiana looked at the ground and pretended the snakes were gone. He closed his eyes, took a few steps, and opened his eyes. He saw the snakes gone, as Micki put a hand on his shoulder, and said, ěItís ok, Grandpa. Now, whereís Mum?î
: Just then, they heard Lauren sobbing loudly as Indiana grabbed his granddaughterís hand and said, ěThis way.î

: Laurenís face was streaming with tears as she said, ěI didnít want you to stay because of me, Tom. Believe me.î
: ěThere was someone else, Lauren. Wasnít there?î he taunted her, ěSomeone your own age?î
: ěNo,î she screamed, ěTom, I love you. I didnít care you were older than I was. We promised to get married when you got back.î
: ěThen why didnít you tell our daughter about me? You told Jack because he found my things, what about Michaela, Lauren? Are you ashamed of me?î
: ěNo, I never was,î she sobbed, ěIíll tell her everything, Tom. Believe me.î
: ěI donít believe anything you say anymore, Lauren. You should have let me stay with you. And now you have to live with a guilty conscience.î
: ěNoooo!!î she screamed as a hand rested on her shoulder and she heard a voice, ěLauren.î
: ěDaddy?î calling him a name she hadn't used since she was ten, and looked at him and asked, ěDid you see him? Did you see him?î
: ěIt was your imagination, Lauren,î as he pulled her into a bear hug, ěA bad dream.î
: Lauren looked through her tears as Micki looked at her and said, ěWhoís Tom, Mom?î
: Before Lauren could explain, Indiana said roughly, ěNever mind, Micki. Letís find the others first. Then weíll tell you everything. Promise."
