Indy was walking through the cave, looking for someone he knew. He had gotten separated quite some time ago, and now was begging to worry. These caves may go for miles, he thought. He knew he had to get out soon. I hope the others are all right. He turned the corner, and suddenly saw several spiders, about the size of a small mousepad, crawling on the walls and the floor. He froze. Indy had been scared to absolute death of spiders his whole life. He used to run into corners and cry. He couldnít move at all, and immediately he started to sweat. One of them crawled towards him, and he stared at it. He had always been scared of them, but craved to learn about them. It was kind of ironic. As a boy, his favorite comic hero was, in fact, Spider-Man. Indy was sweating like crazy, it was actually dripping off of his face. He could even hear it hit the ground, the cave was like a graveyard. He tried to run, but he couldnít move. He looked at the rest of the spiders, and tears began to form in his eyes. This is how it always happened, he would sweat, and cry, and he couldnít stop it. He prayed to God that someone would come and save him. Anyone. He started to tremble, and really started to cry. He was sniffing, and breathing heavily. In his life Indy had seen a lot of things, killed a lot of people, almost been killed and more. But he was scared shitless. He was a 1-month-old child being attacked by a grizzly bear. If he could move, he would be too scared to do anything. Anything at all. As one of the spiders crawled on his boot, and raised to strike. Everything went black.

Indy opened his eyes, and saw nothing but black. He wasnít awake, something told him so. Suddenly, there was a flash of light. The images were only there for a split second, but he could examine every detail. The lived in his mind, some of these were thoughts Indy never wanted to see ever again. He saw his real mother and father, his two brothers, and himself. They were around a table laughing and eating dinner. Flash. He was at his friendís house, looking up into the sky. He felt the pain in his left shoulder. It was when he broke his collarbone. Flash. He was in a surgery room, the doctors trying to fix his knees. He had a problem with them, and the doctors never did fix it. Flash. He was lying on his living room floor, drunk. He was only 14. A bottle of liquor stood beside him. IN a few hours he would wake up in his own vomit. Flash. His fatherís rifle, loaded with the one bullet he saved. He was 14. He felt worthless, the doctors couldnít do anything about his knees, and he missed some things he needed. It was cocked, his finger on the trigger, about to pull it. One thought flashed through his mind, and he put the gun down. It wouldnít be the last time heíd be staring down the barrel of that gun. Flash. He was in a car accident, the car wrecked and mangled. His father was dead, in the driverís seat. His mother, in the passenger seat, was dead too. He was crying, holding his mother. He was only 10. Flash. He was staring down the barrel of the rifle again. He missed his parents. He was 14. Flash. His first date. Flash. His first kiss. Flash. The first time he had sex. Flash. Indy was crying and crying and crying on his bed. He had been thinking a lot about his mother and father. Flash. A kid in school made a crack about his mother. Indy slowly turned. Looked at the senior, and attacked him. He threw him into the wall, and punched him across the face. The senior punched Indy back, who was only a freshman. He punched Indy again, and then whacked his face with his book bag. Indy fell to the ground. He was angrier than he ever had been in his life. He thought of his parents, gone forever, and grabbed the young manís throat. The senior was turning purple. He was almost dead. Flash. He stood in the rain, at his parentís grave. It was their anniversary. He laid flowers down, and kneeled. Flash. Meg. Indy saw Meg smiling. She looked beautiful. Indy heard a voice. Behold your future. I, Gandalf, will allow you to see. Remember this always, you need to survive. Your help is needed. BeholdÖ Flash. Short Round and the Lambertís were fooling around. Indy heard Brett say to Shorty ëAlright, a new brother!í Flash. Indy turned to Meg. They were in a church. ëYou may now kiss the bride.í Flash. Indy heard giggling. He turned and looked. He was in a hospital. The giggling was coming from a baby. It was in Megís arms. Indy smiled, and a tear rolled down his face. The child was his. He looked at Meg who smiled. Indy kissed the babyís forehead, and kissed Megís forehead. He didnít hear anything, but her lips said ëI love youí. The image of Meg holding the baby backed away as fast as lighting. Indy was in darkness, but he suddenly saw a night sky filled with stars. The starts faded out, and he saw his parents. They smiled brightly at Indy. He couldnít touch them, but he knew they were proud. Indy called to them. ëI love you!í They smiled back, and the image faded away. A bright blue light shimmered through his mind. Dozens of colors swirled and swirled. They slowly formed a face. It was himself. He was smiled. The image shattered into a thousand pieces, and behind it came an image of Meg. She was smiling.

Indyís eyes opened. He was lying on the ground in a cave. He felt his Beretta in his hand. How did that get there? He sat up. He was wearing his red Doc Martens, green cargo pants, a white tank top, and a fitted Yankee cap. He wasnít wearing this stuff before, but he knew Gandalf had something to do with it. He found several clips for his Beretta in his pocket. He put the gun in there. He looked to the side, and saw Meg lying next to him. She was asleep. Gently he picked her up and carried her to the next room. He sat her against the wall, and her eyes slowly fluttered open. She smiled, and he smiled back. ìIndyÖî she whispered. Something in Indy told him she had had the same visions, perhaps different ones. ìI knowî he whispered back. He cradled her face with his hands, and slowly leaned forward. She leaned forward too, and kissed him sweetly.
