One question for Walker and Hannibal King, are you professional writers ?

I love your stories and I'm trying to write an Indy-story too, but I've discovered that it's quite difficult to write about a character that has been used in so many books.
I would like to ask you both a question: are you professionals or do you write just for fun ?
