Ten-year anniversary of Loma Prieta Earthquake on Sunday...

... this Sunday will mark the ten-year anniversary of the 7.1 Loma Prieta Earthquake that hit the San Francisco Bay Area at 5:04pm PDT on October 17, 1989. :(

Ten years already?!?. When that earthquake hit, while many of you were in kindergarten (I think), I was in my first semester of college (yes, I started college right after I graduated high school! :) ). Man, I'm old! :_(

Ironically, this happened during Major League Baseball's World Series (championship series), and which two teams were in it when the earthquake hit? The San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics (A's)... talk about ironic! :D

Sorry that this is kind of off the Indy subject, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to. But since ten-year anniversaries only happen once in a lifetime, I'll ask anyways... where were you all, and what were you all doing, when the earthquake happened (I would imagine that most of you probably weren't in the Bay Area when it hit)?
