Chapter 2 (continued)
Two hours later, Indy, Eric, and Michael came in the front door as Indy called out,
ìLauren, come down and help us with the groceries.î
ìI got it, Dad,î Eric said taking the bag from his fatherís hands.
Michael nodded, ìYeah, Dad. Eric and I will put away things and start on dinner. You can go get Laurie.î
Indy smiled as he climbed up the stairs to his daughterís room and knocked on her door, ìLauren?î as he peered in the room.
Her room was clean and tidy as always except for a box and pieces of paper on the bed. Indy walked in, picked up the box, and looked at it. This looks very familiar, he realized as a thought occurred to him and dropped the box. He looked on the bed and saw a faded letter on top. Indy snatched it as Michael burst into Laurenís room and said,
ìLaurenís gone, Dad. She went toÖî
Indy finished for him, ìLondon,î as he dropped the letter on the bed.
ìBut why?î Michael said.
ìI have an idea,î as he picked up the extension in Laurenís room, ìAnd I know the right person who can find her before we do.î
