Chapter 18 of Lauren's Quest

Chapter 18
Tom looked at Indy and said, “You know its’ here? But how?”
“Yeah, Dad,” Eric said, “How?”
“This land is the exact place where Arthur had his castle year ago and the Lady of the Lake is not too far from here. The Raleighs, not knowing this, bought the land 400 years ago and settled here.”
“Then how did you know?” Michael asked Tom.
“I found family records my father has in his safe. I compared my notes with those of Arthur’s stories and realized that we at the exact spot where Camelot once stood.”
“So where’s the lake?” Shorty asked.
“Parts of the lake was covered up to build a garden for my great-great grandmother. There is a small pond where it once was as well as the garden.”
“So where is it?” Shorty asked.
“Easy, kid,” Indy said as Tom explained, “It’s a half a day journey by horse. Why don’t you settle here for the night and we’ll all go in the morning?”
They all nodded as Tom asked, “Now what does this have to do with Lauren?”
Indy explained the situation of what drove Lauren to London in the first place and meeting up with Anthony. After listening to it, Tom looked at him and said, “And Lauren thinks you’re dead?”
Indy nodded as Tom said, “I think she knows you’re still alive, Dr. Jones. Remember the time you told me about in Crete? When she heard the gunshot from the tent? Her companion said that you were dead but she knew otherwise.”
Indy ignored him and said, “We’ll take you up on that offer, Tom. And at first light, we’ll go to the Lady of the Lake.”
