Lauren's Quest chapter uh... 21 I think.

Joey paced the balcony of his hide out as he watched his men on motorcycles, jeeps, and horses head toward the sun set.
"They're too smart for us!" Joey exclaimed as he nervously tapped his fingers on the railing.
Patrick walked onto the balcony calm for some reason.
"Don't panick, our men will find them." Patrick grinned spitefully.
"I wish I was as confident as you in these situations! I can't concentrate! They might be far up the ass of Excalibur's path!"
Patrick started to chuckle at his brother's nervousness.
"Don't worry."
"Did you ever have it in mind that we lose this battle?" Joey looked him coldly in the eyes.
"And did you ever have it in mind that we might win?"
Patrick walked right out of the room, Joey watching him in surprise of his confidence in their men.
Impossible man! Joey sighed nervously.

The sun was down, the moon shining on a small lake. Crickets chirped in the bushes, the stars were shining as bright as they did in the city. The surroundings were as perfect as anyone's dreams.
No wonder King Arthur lived here. Lauren ironically thought.
Anthony and Tom were up keeping watch over the gang as was Shorty to watch Anthony and Tom both along with the gang. Anthony and Tom rested on their rifles looking coldly into each other's eyes as the night's presence surrounded them.
"If we were on different sides I'd kill you and eat your heart out as we speak!" Anthony said with a tone not heard before from him.
"Want to try right now?" Tom replied as he stepped up on his knee.
"Yeah sure!"
Both stood up in battle stances before Shorty suddenly jumped in between both of them.
"Guys, guys, take it easy! Fighting isn't going to win you guys to Lauren!" Shorty started to reprimand them like children.
"Oh, and who are you? Her boyfriend?" Tom said.
"No, and I'm not that much of a boy to slug you upside the head!" Shorty got in Tom's face.
"I'd like to see you try chink boy!"
"Alright then I will--"
"Damn kids, quite it down!" Indy yelled as he got up waking Eric and Michael. "You guys sound like Sanford and Son!"
"Who's that Doctor Jones?" Shorty said in a completely different attitude.
His humble tone kind of made Indy feel like Shorty would be way better for Lauren then these stooges, but Shorty was as dangerous as him and wouldn't want to risk his daughter's fate alongside another adventurer as dangerous as Shorty.
"Sanford and Son is a TV show about a junk dealer played by Redd Foxx. He's grumpy, always trying to pick a fight and calling his son dummy. Good show." Indy gave a lopsided grin.
They heard a rumbling and the sound of engines.
"This is very bad, I know it!" Lauren exclaimed as she got up.
"I'm beginning to agree with you lady!" Shorty exclaimed, wide eyed.
"Whoa shit!" Eric exclaimed. "Run!"
Lights torn their way through the bushes as motorcycles and horses charged their way along with jeeps!
ìThere they are, get them!î a lead man commanded.
Guns started firing which shredded the surrounding area! Motorcycles and horsemen started catching up to the gang. They almost got up to their horses and carriage which was covered and hidden in bushes, leaves and branches. Michael and Lauren were a little behind the rest of the group as three guys on motorcycles went faster to catch up and try running them over! As Michael and Lauren run nearer the carriage, the more the motorcycles catch up! They fired again, some bullets hitting trees surrounding them, others coming inches from their heads. Michael grabbed Lauren and they both jumped behind the carriage as bullets went through that as well! The three men on motorcycles whizzed right passed them! Eric, Tom, Anthony, Indy, and Shorty ran just as fast as Lauren and Michael were! They suddenly felt the ground disappear beneath them as they fell down a hill. They looked back to see a cave in the hill. Hearing the motorcycles coming closer and closer they had no choice but to run back into the cave! As they made it, a motorcycle came right over head!
ìI got an idea!î Shorty said as he stepped out of the cave.
ìShorty wait!î Eric yelled as he jumped out of the cave and pushed Shorty out of the way when suddenly a motorcycle landed where they were!
ìI saved you!î Eric was so thrilled that he saved Short Round and being a hero.
ìYeah, yeah, yeah, thanks!î Shorty said as he got up and reach down for a branch.
Another motorcycle was coming down the center of the hill when Shorty swung the branch like a baseball bat knocking the bastard off! The man flew many feet from his motorcycle!
ìHaha!î Indy chuckled. ìThat a boy Shorty! Learns from me!î
Another motorcycle came over making Shorty jump to the floor! The motorcycle landed on the downed one making the bastard fall off and break his neck! Shorty got up as more motorcycles came over, some landing on the other cycles and some not. Shorty jumped immediately to the floor again and crawled back into the cave! Shorty jumped up against the wall gasping for air!
ìNot very funny!î He exclaimed.

Michael and Lauren were under the wagon as the jeeps and horses passed by! They started to hear a growl sound of metal or wood about to collapse. The bullets seams to pulverize the wagon!
ìThis is very bad!î Mike exclaimed.
Him and Lauren started to crawl out from under the wagon! First Michael squeezed himself out and Lauren started to crawl out from under the wagon. She turned to her side and just rolled out from under the wagon when suddenly the front wheels on the opposite side already collapsed! Lauren realized her Fedora fell off under the wagon! She jumped down to the ground and reached a hand under the wagon as debris from the floor of the wagon came down onto her hands. She grabbed the Fedora and jumped back as the wagon collapsed! She casually dusted off her Fedora.
ìAre you crazy? I donít want to ever see you do a thing like that again! Itís just a hat!î Michael said, concerned.
ìAnd itís my hat!î Lauren put her hat back on and gave a lopsided grin.

After the horses jumped over the cave hill, the jeeps went around the hill the other way.
ìHow convenient!î Indy commented.
As all the jeeps passed, Anthony, Tom and Shorty ran out and grabbed a motorcycle that was on the floor.
ìGuys where are you going?î Eric asked.
ìAfter those jeeps!î Shorty replied.
ìHow?î
ìI donít know, weíre making this up as we go!î Shorty and the two others went after the jeeps swiftly on the motorcycles.
ìThatís Shorty for ya!î Indy commented.
ìI wonder where he gets his ideas.î
Suddenly two people jumped from above the hill/cave!
Eric suddenly jumped and tackled one of them! Eric then got a fat lip and a bloody nose before suddenly hearing Lauren yelling
ìLet me go!î
ìLauren!î Eric yelled.
ìLauren, are you ok?î Indy yelled as he ran out of the cave.
ìYeah, me and Michael are ok!î Lauren said as she got up and picked up her raven black Fedora.
ìMy noseÖî Eric went back into the cave wiping blood off his nose.
ìWhereís Anthony, Tom and Shorty?î Michael spoke up.
ìChasing our enemies.î

Anthony, Tom, and Shorty started catching up to the jeeps, the men in them not noticing! Shorty jumped to the back of the one jeep and hung onto the railing! He lifted his feet and kicked one of the goons on the jeep. He grabbed him and threw him off when a man sitting on the edge jumped on Shortyís back putting him in a headlock! Shorty jerked his head back slamming his head into the guys face! The punk flew back but clung onto the side railing of the jeep! The other guy took out his rifle and pointed it towards Shorty, but before the guy could pull the trigger, Shorty grabbed the barrel of it and flung the guy towards the side of the jeep, hitting the other guy making him fall off! The driver of the jeep stopped short making Short Round fly forward above the seat and through the windshield! Shorty jumped to the side and grabbed onto the steering wheel from in front! Him and the man wrestled over control of the jeep when Shorty turned it swiftly making the jeep veer to the right, about to hit another jeep! Tom was between Shortyís jeep and the other jeep when he noticed he was about to become squished by them! He went faster and made it by half a foot when Shortyís jeep rammed into the other one! The driver lost control and the other jeep went down a hill turning over! Shorty crawled up to the front seat and kicked the bastard out! He closed the door.

Tom jumped onto another jeep and held onto the side railing. He lifted his legs and kicked a goon as hard as possible who flew, knocking the one in the back of him off the jeep as well! Tom kicked another guy who flew off the jeep and got ran over by the one Shorty was driving from behind. Tom noticed another guy in the jeep wielding a knife! He jumped at Tom who fell on his back and held the knife from his face.

A jeep started coming from behind Anthony! Anthonyís instinct made him turn to the right, making him tumble down a hill.

Tom head-butted the goon and then kicked him off the jeep. He got up and kicked the driver off as well. He took control.
