: Chapter 51 [Of Car Chases And SuchÖ] (written by Short Round)

: Aragorn woke up suddenly as a fist connected with his jaw.
: "Wake up!" Fiddler's voice yelled, "Aaahhhhhhhhh... So I have one of you at least!" The chains on the Fiddler's handcuffs had been broken, yet the cuffs themselves were still on his hands.
: "Hey!" Aragorn growled, "Let me go!"
: "Not so fast, my friend! There will be a ransom on your butt!" The Fiddler gave an evil chuckle. There had been a deserted cabin near the river where the Fiddler had dragged Aragorn and tied him there.
: Aragorn noticed that his guns were on a table, which had been collecting dust.
: "Let me go," Aragorn said in a calm voice.
: "Your mind tricks won't work on me, Aragorn!" the Fiddler said, "Just face it! Your friends will have to pay the ransom, or you might go through some pretty nasty torture routines! HAHA! I've been waiting for this moment! Hey I may be able to squeeze some info from that emotionless brain of yours!" The Fiddler reached for his cell phone.
: "Okay, so what's your friends' cell phone number?"
: "I'll never let you know!" Aragorn replied. Fiddler backhanded Aragorn across the face. He then kneed him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.
: "Tell me now!!" Fiddler yelled.
: "Never!--" Aragorn got a punch in the face, splitting his lip. Fiddler took one of Aragorn's handguns from the table and fired at the wall.
: "Hey Raggy," Fiddler said menacingly, "you'll be the first to find out what the barrel of a recently fired gun feels like. Hot enough to light a cigar." Fiddler moved it closer to Aragorn's face. Aragorn felt the heat of the barrel as the Fiddler moved it closer.
: "All right, I'll tell you!" Aragorn said. Fiddler put the gun down, picked up the cell phone and got ready to dial. Oh great, what number do I tell him?!? Aragorn randomly chose a cell phone number...

: Jerico, Goodsport, and the humble Shorty got out of the taxi and stood on the sidewalk in front of the airport.
: "Okay, let's rendezvous with the gang," Goodsport said as they walked towards the airport. Jerico's phone started to ring, which he answered.
: "Jerico speaking."
: "Hello. You want to see Aragorn?" a cloaked voice on the other end responded.
: "Yes!" Jerico said. "Who is this?"
: "I can't tell you that now. Just call me Ed," the voice said.
: "Okay Ed. Now what do you know about Aragorn?"
: "Well if you want to see your friend again, I must have one millions dollars in hard currency!" Ed said.
: "Is this some kind of joke!?" Jerico said worriedly.
: "This is no joke. It's a ransom. Let's go over a rendezvous plan..."

: Michaelson, Indy, Meg, Tessa, and Dr. Jones stepped off the plane.
: "They should be here somewhere," Michaelson said.
: "I hope you're right, general!" Indy said.
: "Hey guys!" A voice from behind yelled. They all turned around to see Shorty running towards them.
: "Hi dudes!" Shorty said. "Goodsport and Jerico are waitin' for ya's!"
: "Okay Shorty, show us to them," Indy said.
: "Here, let me take that for ya, ma'am," Shorty said, helping Tessa with her luggage.
: "Here they come," Goodsport said. Shorty and the others were walking towards them. Goodsport and Jerico saluted the General.
: "So, do you have any info about Aragorn?" Michaelson asked.
: "Yessir, we do." Goodsport said, "but it's not good news."
: "What do you mean?" Michaelson said.
: "He is being held captive," Goodsport said. Everyone's mouths dropped.
: "This better not be any joke!" Michaelson said.
: "No sir, it isn't!" Jerico said. "I got a call on my cell phone saying he is being held for ransom and more instructions on where we are to meet."
: "Well did you get any more information on who this guy is?" Michaelson said.
: "No."
: "Hey, I think we better get out of here. You know, check into a hotel and all," Tessa said, "we could be on surveilence by God knows who.".
: "Okay," Michaelson said, "let's go."
: Short Round signaled for a taxi. They put the luggage in the trunk. Shorty sat in the front, while Goodsport, Jerico, and Tessa sat in the back to have a little chat about their experiences. The others got in other cabs.

: - - -

: It was the following evening.
: "Okay, here is some gear we will be needing," Michaelson and Indy announced as they opened up two huge suitcases revealing a few DD44 Dosovei's, a few Colt Peacemakers, a sniper rifle, two rifles, different sized silencers and scopes.
: "DANG!" Shorty said, "You have enough here to make Saddam Hussein jealous!"
: "You ain't kidding!" Goodsport said.
: "I get a Peacemaker!" Shorty said.
: Goodsport grabbed a Dostovei, as did Jerico. Shorty grabbed a Peacemaker. Indy was armed with his new 9mm Beretta, and Meg took a Peacemaker.
: "Good luck!" Michaelson said and saluted.

: - - -

: The parking lot was practically deserted, with only a rental car in the middle of it. Another car then arrived and parked several yards away from the first car. The new car arrived late because a manure truck had broken down, causing traffic
: Goodsport, Jerico, Meg, and Indy stepped out. Shorty stayed in the car at the steering wheel. Goodsport had taught him to drive. Fiddler stepped out the other car.
: "You want your friend I see," Fiddler said.
: "Where is he?" Indy said, "Hand him over!"
: "Money first," Fiddler said. Jerico pulled out a suitcase.
: "Show us Aragorn!" Indy said. Fiddler went to his car and jerked Aragorn out, holding him bound by his hands.
: "Open the suitcase," Fiddler said. Jerico opened the suitcase and black smoke came out of it. Aragorn and Fiddler started to cough. Jerico threw it at the Fiddler's face. Jerico then grabbed Aragorn and ran back to the car. He shoved Aragorn in as they all jumped in it.
: "Short Round!" Goodsport said, "Step on it!"
: "Okie dokie, dude!" Short Round backed the car up. Fiddler took the suitcase off his head and stepped out of the black cloud of smoke. He began firing at the car, but only hit the side of it. He ran to his rental car and hopped in, closing the door.
: Indy's belt started to make a chirping sound as he picked up the walkie-talkie from his belt.
: "Save was a success, General!" Indy spoke into it. Suddenly a bullet came through the window, shattering it. Fiddler wasn't too far behind.
: "Shorty, see if you can beat him to the alley!" Indy yelled.
: The Fiddler's car came closer to the side of theirs. Indy took out his 9mm and stuck out the side car window to aim at Fiddler. The Fiddler hit the side of the car, making Indy fall out.
: "WHOAA!" Indy yelled as he grabbed onto the side door of Fiddler's car.
: "Indy, no!" Meg yelled.
: Indy held onto the top rim of the car, let his feet up and kicked through the window, hitting the Fiddler. He grabbed the Fiddler in a headlock and punched him in the face. Fiddler then found the chance to knock Indy in the jaw and throw him out the driver-side window.
: "Shorty," Goodsport yelled. "Whatever you do, don't ram into Fiddler. or Indy's dead!"
: "You don't gotta remind of me that 'Sport!" Shorty replied.
: "Nobody shoot at the car!" Goodsport yelled back, "We can 't risk Indy's life!"
: The Fiddler elbowed Indy in the face. Indy jerked back and the door opened. Fiddler started kicking Indy. Indy held onto the door for dear life!
: "DieÖ die!" the Fiddler chanted.
: The Fiddler noticed that they were coming to a small alley and he started to gain speed. Fiddler was going to try and hit the door on the wall of the alley. They were coming closer.
: "Shorty slow down!" Goodsport yelled. "You don't wanna be squished with the Fiddler in between the alley!"
: "Alright, alright, alright!" Shorty replied.
: Shorty started to slow down, letting the Fiddler's car into the alley first.
: Indy swung on the door and went through the side window, landing in the back seat feet-first right before the door was hit by the side of the alley. Sparks were flying everywhere.
: "That'll teach him!" the Fiddler said.
: Shorty's car was just behind them in the long alley. Suddenly from the back seat, Indy grabbed the Fiddler, and Fiddler started hitting both sides of the alley. Fiddler then grabbed the hand Indy was grabbing him with and threw him up near the front seat. He punched Indy in the jaw, then heaved him out the front window. Indy grabbed onto the slit between the hood and the now-shattered front window. Only Indy's feet were hanging off the front of the car. Indy then looked back and noticed the alley was about to end in the main road. Indy put one foot on the bumper and heaved himself on the hood, then jumped onto the top of the car.
: "What the?!?" Fiddler gasped.
: Indy leaped onto Shorty's car and landed on the roof of it. Indy climbed back into the back seat.
: "Indy!" Meg said. "I was worried!"
: "Yeah me too!" Indy replied.
: The alley ended and Fiddler was onto the main road, as was Shorty not too long after. Shorty brought his car to the side of the Fiddler's and rammed into him. Fiddler veered off and crashed right into the back of the manure truck that had caused traffic before! Manure spilled out through the broken front window and flooded the car. Fiddler flew out the side door.
: "YEAH!" Shorty yelled. "We got him!" Everyone cheered.
: "Thanks for coming after me guys," Aragorn said.
: "Did you like our plan?" Shorty said.
: "Yeah it was smart, except you didn't have to nearly suffocate me with black smoke."
: "It was my idea, actually. I read it in a Star Wars book, 'Han Solo at Stars' End'. See, what he did was give Pluvo Two For One a suit case, right? But it was loaded with all these nasty deadly creatures and they attacked him as he opened it up. Then Han made a run for it." At that moment, Shorty was feeling like he was all that!
: "Pretty cool Shorty," Aragorn said.
: Shorty pulled up to the hotel. Everyone got out of the car, went to the elevator and hit the button for their floor.

: - - -

: A cab pulled in the front of the hotel.
: "Keep the change." Fiddler said to the driver.
: Fiddler walked into the hotel.

: - - -

: The gang went into their room and found a note on the bed.
: "Hey, what's this?" Indy picked up the note, "It says 'Dear gang: Tessa, Indiana Jones and I have left for the airport. Meet us there, we already have tickets to board. We'll be waiting outside. -General Michaelson.' "
: "Well guys, he didn't care to take the ammo suitcase," Shorty pointed out.
: "We'll get the car going," Goodsport said, "you guys get the case and anything else that may still be here. And load these guns." Goodsport, Meg and Jerico put their guns in the case, as did Indy and Shorty. Goodsport and the gang left while Indy and Shorty stood by to get their belongings. Goodsport and the gang boarded the elevator.
: "Come on Shorty," Indy said, "let's go."
: " 'kay, dude!" Shorty picked up the suitcase.
: They went to the elevator in the hallway as the other elevator suddenly rang.
: "Let's get on this one," Indy said.
: As they stepped in front of the elevator, the door opened. The Fiddler was standing right in front of them.
: "I have you now!"
: Fiddler wielded a gun and pointed it straight at Indy's head. They backed up as Fiddler came out of the elevator. The hammer on Fiddlers gun came back. Without hesitation, Indy hurled the suitcase at the Fiddler. As the Fiddler was getting off the floor, Indy picked up the ash tray that was near the door and threw it on top of Fiddler, who's gun misfired and hit the door at the end of the hallway.
: "Come on Shorty!" Indy yelled, "Run!"
: Indy grabbed Shorty by the wrist and they both ran to a flight of stairs at the end of the hallway.
: "Okay Shorty," Indy began, "we run up to the first landing. When Fiddler comes through the door, of course he'll suspect we went down. When he goes downstairs, we make a run to the elevator in the hall!"
: "Gotcha!" Shorty replied.
: Both of them ran to the stairs. Halfway up, the Fiddler came through the door.
: "You're dead!" he yelled as he fired a bullet.
: The bullet hit the railing. Shorty and Indy jumped to the landing on top of the stairs as another bullet hit the wall behind them.
: "Let's go!" Indy said as he helped Shorty up.
: Both of them started running up the stairs.

: - - -

: "Where can they be!?" Goodsport asked.
: "I don't know, but they're taking pretty long," Jerico replied.
: "I'll go check up on them," Goodsport said.
: Goodsport headed toward the hotel.

: - - -

: They came to a door. Indy opened it as he and Shorty came to a dead end on the rooftop.
: "Go ahead boys," Fiddler stood in front of the door. "Jump! The suicide would look nice and neat."
: "What if we don't?" Indy asked.
: "Lead poisoning!" Fiddler pulled the hammer on the gun back.

: - - -

: Goodsport came to the hallway and noticed the ashtray and the suitcases on the floor. He then looked at the door at the end of the hallway and noticed a bullet hole.
: "Oh great!" Goodsport took a DD44 Dostovei out of the suitcase and ran to the door. He came to the landing and noticed bullet holes on both the railing and the wall. He ran up the stairs.

: - - -

: "Any last words, you two little punks!?" Fiddler yelled.
: The boys were silent.
: "HA ha! Thought so!" Fiddler aimed the gun, "See ya!"
: The door behind him knocked him off his feet as it hit the back of his head.
: "You!" Fiddler turned around and crawled to his gun. Goodsport took out the Dostovei and shot it away from his reach. Fiddler stood up as Goodsport aimed the gun at him.
: "Don't make a move!" Goodsport said, "Indy, Short Round! Get to the car. I'll meet you two there."
: Shorty and Indy walked passed Goodsport and went down the stairs.
: "Goodsport," Fiddler said, "you're pretty good. But there's something I got to tell you."
: "What's that?"
: Fiddler opened his mouth to say something. Before Goodsport had a chance to shoot, Fiddler tackled him like a football player. Goodsport kneed Fiddler in the gut which was all he could do, then he grabbed him by the back of his shirt and threw him towards the glass window on the roof.

: - - -

: The room was dark and everyone was asleep. Suddenly the body of Fiddler came crashing through the skylight of the penthouse.
: "AAAHHHH!" one of the people yelled.
: "Sorry," Fiddler said, getting up, "felt like dropping in."
: Fiddler raced for the door.
: "Who was that man?" the lady asked.
: "I dunno," her husband replied "let's go back to bed."
: Both of them lay back down and casually went to sleep again.

: - - -

: Goodsport ran to the first landing out the door to a hallway and went to the first elevator.
: He reached the bottom and ran out as fast as he could
: "Jerico! Start the engine! Get the engine going!" Goodsport yelled.
: The Fiddler came through the elevator just as Goodsport jumped in the car. As it took off, the Fiddler cursed under his breath. Everyone around looked at him. An elderly lady put her spectacles on in amazement
: "My God!" she said
: Fiddler ignored her and ran outside the hotel. Fiddler spotted a guy getting into a cool car.
: "Sir, hold it!" Fiddler yelled in Swiss, "I'm an officer!"
: "Got any proof?" the man said.
: "YeahÖ this!" Fiddler threw the guy out into another parked car, "Don't mess with officers!"
: Fiddler backed the car up.

: - - -

: "-and so we ran up the stairs and came to a dead end on a roof. Goodsport then rescued us. You should have seen him!" Shorty ended his story.
: "I see. He's like a lethal weapon!" Meg said.
: "Lethal weapon. HA!" Indy chuckled.
: "Hey, what's that!" Jerico indicated to the rear view mirror.
: Everyone looked back to see a car with Fiddler in the driver's seat.
: "Does this guy ever give up!?" Jerico said.
: "I don't think so-" Indy was interrupted as a bullet came through the window.
: "Jerico, step on it!" Indy yelled.
: Another bullet came through the now shattered window.
: "Hey, that's a Beretta!" Indy indicated.
: "How do you know?" Jerico said.
: "I'd recognize a Beretta anywhere!" Indy said, "He probably carries it in an ankle holster for emergencies.
: Suddenly, Jerico came to a red light.
: "Here goes nothing!" he said, "Everybody, hold on!"
: Jerico went through the red light and dodged cars. He tried to avoid hitting a car, which sent him going into the wrong lane.
: "Eeessh" Jerico grunted.
: "Jerico, this is a one way street!" Goodsport shouted.
: "I know, I know!"
: Jerico dodged more cars. The Fiddler was on the other road. Jerico had more space and veered back into the correct lane. He rammed into the Fiddler's car. He was now in front of the Fiddler.
: "Perfect!" the Fiddler sneered.
: The Fiddler aimed his Beretta and shot again. The bullet hit right on the side of Jerico's headrest on his car seat. Everyone ducked again as more bullets sprayed the car. The Fiddler then began reloading his weapon.
: Indy made his move and fired out of the side window. He kept firing at the Fiddler's front bumper.
: "Huh?" Fiddler was confused.
: The Fiddler's airbag suddenly burst open and made him lose control of the wheel.
: "Yeah!" Indy yelled.
: Fiddler swerved onto the sidewalk and crashed into a Blockbuster Video store.
: "Aaarrrggghhh!!" Fiddler yelled, "I HATE CAR CHASES!!!"

: - - -

: The gang pulled up to the airport.
: "Got our tickets?" Jerico asked as he stepped out of the car.
: "Sure do!" Michaelson answered as he led them into the airport.

: ----

: "And so his airbag came up and he crashed into a nearby Blockbuster Video store," Indy finished his story, reclining in the plane.
: "That was a slick idea, Indy. For your braveryÖ" Micah said.
: "YeahÖ yeah?" Shorty interrupted.
: "I am giving you a promotion."
: "All right!" everyone cheered.
: The plane then started to take off toward Nepal.

: Chapter 52 [Family Reunions] (written by Tessa)

: The Phoenix Group and Indiana Jones arrived in Nepal, worn and tired from their trip. Indiana Jones was looking around as they noticed a young woman, wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt, waving her arms in the air. Aragorn, Goodsport, Jerico, Short Round, and Indy looked in awe at this beautiful young woman - her light brown hair that was held back by a ponytail, a beautiful sculpted body, luscious lips, and a pair of incredible hazel eyes - as Indiana Jones smiled.
: The young woman walked towards them, passing the group and flinging her arms around Indiana's neck in a hug, smiling bright, and said, "Hi, Grandpa."
: "Micki, you've grown," he exclaimed in a surprised tone.
: "You haven't seen me for ten years. I'm bound to grow somewhat," she quipped as Indiana laughed, put an arm around her shoulders and said,
: "Group, I'd like you to meet my granddaughter, Michaela Jones."
: "I'll be damned," Indy said softly as Michaelson asked, "I thought we were meeting Alexandra Stephens."
: "That's my mum," Micki said, "She's arranging for luggage to be transported to the hotel. Be along in a moment."
: An older version of Micki came at that moment, wearing a black fedora on her head, her blue eyes intense, as Indiana said, "Speak of the devil," smiling.
: "Hi, Dad," she gave a him a hug, "What's going on?"
: "Always the impetuous one, Lauren," as he said, "The renowned archeologist Alexandra Stephens, better yet my daughter Lauren Jones. Lauren, meet the Phoenix Group."
: She nodded and then asked, "What about Valinor?"
: "Direct and to the point," Micah said, "I like that."
: "Valinor is not a subject to be taken lightly," Lauren said roughly, "His message, from what I understand, is very powerful. And if it falls into the wrong handsÖ"
: Indiana patted his daughter's shoulder and said, "We'll find it," then looked at the Phoenix Group, "Right?"
: "Right," they said in unison as they made plans to find out more about Valinor before the DWO could.

: - - -

: Nobody sat in the airport lounge as Deirdre's flight from Chicago landed in Bern, Switzerland. She promptly left her plane, met up with Nobody and sat across from him in the lounge, where they had missed the Phoenix Group, Tessa, and Indiana Jones by seconds.
: He inhaled a bit from his cigar, blew out a ring of smoke, and smiled wickedly at her. He crossed his arms at her and said, "You have failed me, my lovely."
: "I didn't---" she started as Nobody held out a hand and said, "You are in my services, Deirdre. You'll do what I say and want you to do. Capriccio?"
: Deirdre swallowed hard and Nobody continued, "Remember you owe me from saving your brother from that gang in the Philippines? You said you wanted to pay me back, no matter what the price was."
: "That was over five years ago, Boss," she said, "And I've done more than my fair shareÖ"
: He interrupted her again and said, "We've been informed that they are heading to Nepal to meet Alexandra Stephens. Do you know who she is?"
: "The Valinor expert," Deirdre replied, "A professor of archeology at the Sorbonne in Paris."
: "She must be taken care of. Permanently."
: "She poses no threat to us, sir. It would be killing a bystander."
: "Nevertheless," he continued as he inhaled the cigar and blew out the smoke, "She is to be eliminated, before she shows Valinor's power to the Phoenix Group."
: Deirdre nodded as Nobody threw a ticket at her, "Here's your ticket to Nepal. A colleague will meet you at the airport."
: "How will I---" she began to ask as Nobody waved a hand and said, "He knows who you are, Miss Campbell!" A smile lingered from his lips as he added, "Trust me."
: Deirdre nodded, grabbed the ticket and headed for the flight to Nepal.
