: Is this happening in the summer or winter months. Unless my memory isn't serving me, then I would think it would half to be summer in Brazil--or they wouldn't be doing things quite like they are. Which would make it winter here in the US (and Canada).

Hmm... it could either be in the Northern Hemisphere's winter months, or at the very end of autumn or beginning of spring. It's true that in the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are reversed.

: Is this right... or has anyone even given it any thought??? And does anyone know what it's like in NY durring the winter?

: What's it like in Cali durring the winter Goodsport?

I'm not sure about New York... I would imagine it is either snowy, or at the very least with blistering winds.

As for the Bay Area - some years it rains heavily in the winter months (last time being El Nino of late '97 - early '98), while other years there is a lot less rain, but still somewhat rainy. There is no snow. :D

Lately here it's been mainly cloudy, although a few times it was sunny. It got pretty cold, lately... it's gotten down to about 60 degrees F during the day! :( Although it usually gets somewhere between 50-60 degrees F during the day during most winters.

I would imagine that Southern California (LA, San Diego, etc.) is even warmer and drier... but most of Southern California is literally a desert anyways. :)
