Doh! I just re-read the end of Chapter 6 again and noticed that Riggs had taken HER gun... so indeed it was a revolver! My apologies, Indiana Jayne - never mind what I said about the pistol/revolver thing. :) (nm)

In Reply to: Who says hers was a .45? There were/are plenty of models of .45's that are revolvers. [nm] posted by the Fiddler on February 06, 2000 at 15:01:44:

: : : "The drum's empty. I've never trusted any Western invention to save my skin. Go on. See for yourself."

: : The Colt .45 was/is an automatic pistol, not a revolver - so I doubt that there is any drum to see.

: : : "I'm sorry, Brett. I couldn't resist that late-night horror flick last night. I guess I didn't get enough of the snooze-button, huh?" Jeef explained, still looking dazed from his sleep.

: : It's 1939, so I'm not sure if there were snooze-buttons then (or automatic alarm clocks for that matter). I'll have to check up on that, though. :)

: : : Just then, Sgt. Abrahoff approached Michaelson.

: : Actually, it's Sgt. Abramoff, not Sgt. Abrahoff (I had corrected that in the latest Updated Chapter Logs). ;)

: : : She stuffed her hands into her jeans pockets and started whistling an old Western song.

: : Again, it's 1939. Women didn't wear jeans then (only a few women even wore pants at all - most wore dresses or skirts)... even men didn't wear jeans then (except probably for miners, and the denim pants they wore were quite different from what we know as jeans today). Jeans as we know it only started to be sold to the public in the 1950's (maybe late 1940's). "D

: : Again, these are small details. That was a great chapter! :)
