No offense, but I REALLY don't like this idea! It'll be confusing to the readers, it'll hurt the feelings the authors whose stories weren't chosen, and the amount of time and effort (i.e. blood, sweat and tears) put in by those authors will have been wasted! However...

That could work. As we begin nearing the end of the story (maybe near Chapter 50 or so), people can send me their suggestions for the ending, what loose-ends that need to be tied up in the story, etc., and I'll try and combine them the best that I can into the ending. But if we do it this way, send me your ideas privately (i.e. don't post them), since once the final chapter is written there will still be a sense of suspense and surprise and stuff for all the readers. This is akin to me asking people NOT to tell me the ending of a movie before I go see it.

But we're still a LONG way off from the ending, so don't send me anything like that anytime soon! :)
