We all love the twists and the surprise of not knowing, but those of us who have written don't want someone else to finish in a way that we don't enjoy. Now if Goodsport is going to write the last chapters, I would trust him to do a good job. But if other authors are going to contribute some of them too, so that each is writting toward his/her own idea of the ending... well I don't think it would be good.

Now, if we were to get together and chat (ICQ) and each suggests things that they think are good and would work. Then one or a couple of people would write the final chapters according to an overall outline that had been lain out. This would still leave room for surprises, and if any author wanted to be completely suprised, he/she could just stay out of the chat(s).

Also, I don't mean to cramp anyone's style, but twists in the plot shouldn't come near the end. I hate to say it, but I think it was the little plot twist about Shorty being a Lambert that made those guys hate it so much. Little things like Monchichi saving Shorty's life are OK, but larger plot twists usualy tend to confuse people when they are expecting to see everything wrapped up. Unless this particular thing has been hinted at and alluded to throughout the story.

I'll quit now, while I still know what I'm saying.

This is just my opinion of things, take it for what it's worth.
