If you're talking about a huge poisonous tarantula, then of course I'd be weary to go near it (But honestly... how many huge poisonous tarantulas do you think roam suburban California? :D)

But if you're talking about those itty-bitty spiders that you find sometimes crawling on the floor or on the wall - no, I'm not scared of them at all. I usually just take a tissue, squash it and flush it down the toilet. :)
