: in the plane was what I wrote, since the incident happend withIN the plane... not ON TOP of it. The title however doesn't totally apply to the whole story, since it isn't totally about what happens in a plane, but rather a robust adventure all around the globe. But changing the title at this time would be absurd. We have always known it to be as such. Why change it?

Hmm... that's also the image I get when people write 'on the plane'. :)

Even when we were deep in writing the story, I believed that there was no reason to change the title. It's a cool reminder of how a small idea grew into something none of us expected. I agree... there's no need to change it.

: That story *sigh* It really started off as a joke you know. Next thing I knew people were adding unto it. At first I found it really hilarious, to include forum members in a story... but then... well, when the other people at the forum started complaining about this egocentricity, it rubbed off on me. Of course I felt really guilty to have been the (unintentional) originator to this whole mess.

Looking back, I don't see why we had to feel guilty. True, we were taking up server space on the other forum, but that's not what most of those people were complaining about. Their reasons for getting rid of the story were only because they 'didn't like it' (so who really were the egocentric ones?), yet they kept on going with where to find Indiana Jones' used jock straps and such... quite frankly, Deirdre, I wouldn't worry about what they think.

: I tried reasoning and starting another webpage for this...but unfortunately I had not enough knowledge in constructing webpages, so I collaborated with DrHose... who mysteriously disappeared one day... leaving me stuck with a unfulfilled promise.
: Luckily Micah opened this FFForum, and *smiles* here we are.

It turned out for the best. The ffforum on Indyfan.com was the perfect solution. ;)

Click HERE to read Michaelson's response to Micah's announcement of the 'new ffforum'. Of particular interest is Micah's response, which reveals who the person was that petitioned (through e-mail) Micah to set up the ffforum in the first place. :)

: I guess we are all aware of the reputation we here have. It's not as wonderful as we thought it to be. I heard that many people disapprove of this whole idea and that someone even mentioned of removing this link in Micah's site as to save space.
: *sigh*

Perhaps our 'reputations' were somewhat smudged after the incident that led to the creation of this ffforum, but I doubt now that any one of them thinks of us one way or another... so I wouldn't worry about it. As for the 'saving space' suggestion, there were only a few people who suggested it, but Micah explained that he had to switch server providers because of bandwith, not because of a lack of server space - trust me, the ffforum doesn't take nearly as much of Micah's resources as the regular forum does.

: Hopefully, Micah will pity us. He has been a wonderful webmaster eversince (eventhough he rarely posts) but that he has kept us here is ample hospitality, kindness and generosity.

I agree that Micah has been an awesome, patient and tolerant webmaster (which is very rare nowadays for most websites... but then again, it's no accident that Micah's site was named one of the best Indiana Jones sites around by a national magazine :)) to allow this ffforum to be.

: Thank you, Micah for bearing with us.

I'm not sure exactly what we did badly that needs bearing, but I agree... thank you Micah for everything! :)

: Yours trully,
: Deirdre Campbell
