The Bounty For Mad Dog Kent chapter 2 - Beginning of the Battle

"Whoa, whoa, whoa..." Shorty said. "You want us to get him now? We just came into town after riding for miles on our horses! The desert is scorching, we came from Mexico, and we don't have anything to drink! The least you can do is give us a drink or something."
Brett and James just stared at both men.
"Oh, ok strangers!" He said after a little hesitation. "I'll be right back!"
The prospector ran into the house. After a few minutes, he came back with a bucket full of whiskey bottles. They all raced to the bucket and grabbed them! After drinking, they set their bottles on the wooden fence.
"Why don't ya take a crack at those bottles, eh red?" Micah the prospector asked Big J.
James drew his gun and quickly fired hitting their bottles and a few that were there before.
"Good shootin' stranger! But you only have one bullet left, and two more bottles to go!" Micah started to chuckle.
Big James ran to another side of the fence and fired at one bottle! The bullet went through it and hit the other.
"He he, that's good shootin' stranger! You'll need the practice for when ya catch Mad Dog Kent! By the way, what is your names and how old are ya'll?"
"Well..." Brett said before any of his other brothers. "My name is Brett, I'm twenty six and my brother Big J who shot the bottles is twenty four, and our youngest brother, Shorty is only nineteen."
"Welp, good luck pardners! Off ta git Mad Dog! But first, get One-Eyed Riggs!"
The brothers set off down the street.
"Hey guys, it's best that we split up. I mean, there can be more of those two guys we shot back there. So I'll go to the salloon while you guys check out the place. And Big J why don't you go to the jail house and see what's up?" Shorty said.
"Yeah, that's be a good idea." Big J said.
Across the street from the salloon, Brett stopped at the gate to a corral. Two guys started to walk out.
"You lookin' for trouble stranger?" The first one said.
"Well..."
Brett spoke too late. The first guy drew a gun! Brett drew his and shot him. As the other guy took out his, Brett picked him off easily as well! Brett started to chuckle to himself until another gunfire was heard and a bullet nearly touched the top of his shirt collar! Brett ran a few feet and jumped forward to hide in front of a horse wagon! He jumped up and kept on firing in the window to where the "assassin" was until his guns were empty! Silence. Brett sighed as he started to reload.

At that time, Shorty was walking to the salloon. On the top balcony, a man jumped out of the window and fired at Shorty hitting a yard or so ahead of him! Shorty drew and fired two shots, the first one going wild. The second one hit him in the leg making him wince and fall off the balcony!

Shorty flipped his gun back words and then forward into his holster.

James starts to walk to the jail when he gets distracted by something at the bank. He notices a ladies scarf on the footsteps. Just then, he hears a scream and the door busts open! He draws his guns, but the first man coming out is a hostage who James almost fires at! The second man is a thief who James shoots and the second man comes from behind the door! James shoots and misses causing the man to jump back behind the door! James fires all his bullet's at the door which go through it. He reloads.

Shorty walks into the salloon. There's a bar on the right with a man dressed in brown and an eyepatch leaning on it, obviously One-Eyed Riggs. To the back of him is two guys at a table and a guy on the staircase in the back of him. Them, the bartender, a dancer, and an organ player were the only ones there which kind of made Shorty a little jittery. Shorty walks up to Goodsport the bartender.

"Be careful," The nervous bartender whispers to Shorty who steps up to the bar. "That's Mad Dog's main man over there!"
Shorty turns to him and looks at his keys which tells him that's the guy he's looking for. Riggs sees Shorty looking at his keys and turns to him and says
"You lookin' at mah keys? You wouldn't happen to be trying to get the sheriff out of jail now, would ya?"
"Uh..." Shorty is a little speechless.
"Jerico!" Riggs yells back. "Show him how ya can shoot!"
One of the men sitting at the table takes out a gun and points it towards the bartender! Shorty draws quickly and shoots him! Riggs then takes out his gun and Shorty shoots him. He shoots the other two guys in the salloon who stood up to take out their guns. Shorty walks to the bartender.
"You ok, dude?" He asks.
"Yeah, thanks stranger! That was close!" Goodsport hands Shorty a whiskey. "Here's the keys. Just to letcha know, Mad Dog Kent wears a bullet proof vest!"
