The Bounty For Mad Dog Kent chapter 4 - Traps, Traps, and more Traps!

"Mad Dog! Mad Dog no!" The Prospector whined.
He was tied onto a broken down fence and he sat on a barrel of TNT while dynamite was strapped to his torso! Mad Dog Kent was kneeling next to him with a cigar in his mouth!
"Mad Dog, stop it!" Micah yelled even more in fear!

The three brothers rode across the plains with their horses going as fast as their legs can take them to the Prospectors place near the mines! Looking ahead they can see a cloud of dust.
"Looks like a horse!" Brett yells on the top of his lungs.

Micah the Prospector struggles to get out of the ropes that bound him to the fence and the TNT! Mad Dog had lit it with his cigar and in two minutes or so it would blow!

The brothers got to the Prospectors shack. The brothers hear a whaling and yelling!
"Come on!" Brett said as he led the way.
They all came to a broken down fence with the prospector chained to it.
"Shoot the rope! Shoot it! It's half a foot to the barrel of TNT!" Micah is drenched in sweat!
Brett draws, shoots at the rope, and puts his gun back in less than four seconds. The rope where the flame was is broken in time.
"Thank's, Brett! That was close and boy I have to say, you are one fast sucker! I hope you can get Mad Dog just as fast!"
The three help untie Micah and drag him a few feet away to a stool.
"The map to the hideout is in... is in the mines."
"Yeah Micah we know." Shorty says. "Try not to talk. Got any whiskey anywhere?"
"In..."
"Alright. Shorty go get it!" Brett commands.
Shorty runs to the shack. After a few seconds he comes out with a few bottles of whiskey.
James is the first to get done.
"So Micah, why would the map be in the mines? I mean, doesn't it seam a little weird to have a secret map in an obvious place?" James asks.
"Well my friend." Micah pats Jim's back. "That map isn't particularly to get into the hideout. It's a map of this area to the town and around this and that area. So it's not particularly to the hideout, but the area where we live."
They all nod.
"Hey you three brothers, take a shot at this bottle!" The prospector throws two bottles up in the air! All three brothers draw immediatly and each of their guns go off at the same time at the bottles! Little peices of glass rain down on them causing them to cover their heads.
"That was stupid!" Micah says to himself. "Welp, off to the mines you three!"

The men ride slowly to the mines. On arrival, the gang get off and slowly approach the mines with extreme caution! Little did they know, Mad Dog's men rigged the mines and kept the map there so the gang walks slowly into a trap! As the gang approaches, Micah suddenly speaks up.
"Stop!" He holds up a hand. "I don't remember that lantern being there!"
"Huh?" Shorty grunts.
"Someone was here!" Brett says.
"Great." James speaks up.
"Brett, you go check it out!" The prospector says.
Brett looks dumbfounded at all three of them.
"Wait a minute, back up." He says.
Brett grabs a shovel nearby and jabs the handle into a lump in the ground. A gunshot is heard at that very second! James, Micah, and Shorty jump down and Brett stands there in shock as a bullet hits the metal part of the shovel which is in front of his head!
"Stay here." He says back to them.
"If you insist, dude!" Micah replies, shaking.
Brett walks carefully into the land-mine filled area in front of the mines. After a few feet ahead, Brett looks back at the three men who anticipate him reaching the other end alive! As he looks back, he starts forward before looking where he steps, and his foot lands on a land-mine! He jumps down as bullets fly over heard! Unluckily this was rigged to an automatic gun! Brett then takes out his and shoots at the automatic's barrel making it fly off it's pedestal!
"That was close, brotha!" Shorty shouts ahead.
Brett looks at them and nods in agreement. He gets up and starts again this time watching where he steps. After a few seconds and a few close calls he finally makes it to the table in front of the mine! He rubs his hands together as he kneels in front of it to make the grab. He plainly grabs it and stuffs it in his pocket. Silence. Before he starts off back to the gang, he hears a sizzling noise. He looks back to see a fuse disappearing into a mine! Just then he noticed TNT barrels lined up from inside the mine to the outside!
"Oh shit!" Brett exclaims.
He takes out his guns and starts running over the field of land-mines! He ducks and fires to the side at the rigged guns as he runs at top speed!
"Go!" He yells on top of his lungs which is drowned out by the gunfire.
He jumps to the ground as he notices he's empty! He lands with his hands and feet in a crawling position as not to touch the land-mines!
"Guys!! It's gonna blow!" He yells!
They all get the hint and start running! Brett gets up and starts to run on top speed! He's only a few feet from out of the land-mines' distance and jumps as the cave/mine explodes! He's sent flying forward down a hill along with Micah and his three brothers! They all cover their heads from the debris! They get up and start to run as more rocks and flaming pieces of wood and metal fly down like meteors and act as deadly weapons. They runs and just collapse onto the floor out of breath.
"Got the map?" Micah asks.
"Yeah, right here." Brett replies out of breath.
