Marcus isn't gonna be in the next one because Denholm Elliot, the guy who played Marcus, is dead. The character doesn't measure into it, he's stone dead. He won't act if you put 4 million vaults into him, he's dead! He's not pining! He's passed on! This actor is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet his maker! He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket, He's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleeding choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-ACTOR!!

And also, officially, Marcus Brody died of being poisoned in Azerbaijan, and the next film (if it even happens) will have either a relative of his or his replacement, which will take on the roll of the lovable but imperfect bumbling idiot museum curator.
