:     Personally, I view our characters with our names and looking like us (maybe a little older or younger, depending on the story), but I do not view them as us. We are sitting in front of our computers in AD 2000, while those characters are obviously not. ;)

For me, I see them as what Morpheus said in The Matrix as "your residual self-image. The digital projection of your former self" well maybe not exactly. :)
:     As a matter of fact, the same forum character can have different mannerisms and personalities from one story to the next, and thus be a different person. For example, I would definitely say that the Goodsport character (notice that I'm not saying 'me') in the Tessa and The Stranger in the Plane story is obviously different than the Goodsport character in the Indiana Jones and the Golden Spider story, in mannerisms, personalities, situatio, etc. Basically, that's because they actually are two different people. And neither of them is really 'me' in real life.

Not to mention the fact that your character in The Lambert Bros. and the Quest for the 12 inch Indy Action Figure , your character is totally different from the other 2 Goodsports. :)
