: but by the time I was to write Chapter 2, Chapter 1 would be in the vault

Messages getting pushed down by subsequent posts is just the nature of the software that runs these forums... there's nothing that can be done about that!

Furthermore, I remember last spring and summer when you and Tessa were posting all those Indy stories. They were good chapters, but the only problem was that one of you would post a chapter, then after a little while (after many other posts from different people about other things) the next chapter would be posted by itself, and so on. Of course they were pushed down (again, that's the way the software operates, I guess). The main problem was that (for example) when you posted Chapter 3 of a story, I would have to scroll down a long ways to find Chapter 2 (if I wanted to refresh my memory, for instance). Not to toot my own horn, but I then came up with a solution when posting the Stranger in the Plane chapters:

1) Repost the Chapters once in a while, since all posts will eventually be pushed down... and...

2) Keep all the Chapters together. For example, post Chapter 1. A bit later when you're ready to post Chapter 2, post Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. After a while, post Chapters 1, 2 and 3. That solves the problem for those following the story in case they want to do a little back-reading (again, refreshing their memory), and for new readers jumping in for the first time - they won't have to scroll down and search for separate Chapters.

Like the Fiddler mentioned, if you wish I can post your Chapters as Updated Chapter Logs like I have been doing with the other stories. What d'ya say? :D
