: First of all I'd like to say I like the Idea. It would be cool if done right.

: Next, you don't realy need all that equipment, just a program like CoolEdit and some time. In fact if you had the new CoolEdit 2000 with it's four chanel mixer add-on it would most likely be better than any equipment, and because it's all digital you wouldn't have to worry about loosing quality when you messed with it a lot. BTW: CoolEdit's a breeze, much easier than any linear editing equipment, like PhotoShop for sound.

: Tapes an CD's are fine for those who realy like the story, but a simple encoding of the final file into RealAudio makes for an easy stream over the internet that doesn't half to be downloaded first.
: Or for more quality, but also a larger file size you could encode them into MP3's.

: Last of all the best Audio Books are ones where multiple voices are used for various characters or the reader/narrator is a good voice actor and changes his voice for the different characters. I don't know how you'd do Indy's voice, but it would be cool to get Indyfan's to play the different characters by just sending you recordings of the lines you had sent them (with instructions on how each line should sound of course).

: Good luck,

I like the idea of forum members supplying voices. Difficult to arrange, but a potentially good idea. Any further ideas on the subject?
