:     Oh, and to answer the question in the title of this post: John Rhys-Davies. He played Sallah in the first and third Indiana Jones films, and will play Gimli the Dwarf in the Lord of the Rings movies. :)

In fact, LOTR is a BRILLIANT book.... I've read it literally DOZENS of times, and have almost worn out the BBC radio production on cassette listening to it...13 hours long!!! It's SUPERB.
