Indiana Jones and Hitlerıs Stronghold

An original tale by Gordon Whyte

Chapter 1

*1939 A freight ship off the German Coast*

A slick black coated man ran down the dark, foggy hallway. A few seconds
later he was followed by another man who trod much lighter as not to be
heard. The figure in front ran up a small flight of stairs then flung open
a
huge cast iron door. The man behind was becoming faster. A bolt of
lightning
lit up the first man. He was of tall stature, he wore an old German colnols
cap topped with a rather large eagle.

He turned around just to see a fist land on his face with a tremendous
thump
he fell to the ground out cold. The man who through the punch ran up the
stairs and outside onto the deck. He smelt the burning of cigar smoke, and
heard the shouts of guards.

Then came another bolt of lightning that hit the water close by. A huge
spray of gleaming, white water came over the dark deck of the ship and
under
the figures foot, he slipped and rolled down the deck into the light. He
lie
stretched out on the deck. On his head he wore a brown fedora hat, on his
chest he had a brown leather jacket covering a pale brown shirt. On his
legs
he wore grey surge trousers. It was Indiana Jones.

Indy quickly got up and ran over to an inflatible life raft. He started
unrapping it, nawing it with his teeth, pulling it with white knuckles. He
took a moment to rest, he looked up into the sky and saw a great bolt of
thunder gathering just above the boat. He went back down to his dinghy. He
had a sudden burst of energy and... finaly tore off the rope bindings. He
quickly pulled the inflator chord. Then ran over to the side of the boat
and
jumped down.

A huge figure ran up to the side. Indy eyed him down, he had a bald head
exept for a few strands that where carefully combed back to give the
illusion of power. He also had on a generalıs uniform. Indy was happy to be
away from him when he looked at his arm. One was in tact but the other was
not there. And instead of an arm was a long heavy machine gun that came to
a
small point. Indy froze, until the german aimed his machine Œarmı at him.
Then he started to paddle.

He heard a shot hit rubber then he heard alot of hissing noises. He span
around and found him self face to face with the ugliest, most repulsive,
german agent he had ever laid eyes on. The Frankenstienıs monster of all
Frankenstienıs monsters, the Phantom of all the operaıs, the leader of all
unearthly face tribes. Indy threw himself back and covered his eyes
sniviling under his sleaves. The german had fat inflated half lips, a
hidiously long and fat nose, dark green eyes, one of the eyes had seemed to
have sunken into itıs socket.

The german pulled up his gun arm just about to fire when he heard a loud
ŒCLANGı of metal hitting metal. He turned his repulsive head just to see a
large rocket from a bazooka fly into his face. He was blown to thousands of
different pieces after being hit with a tank stopping weapon. The blast
knocked Indy out. The small raft was loaded back up onto the boat and then
the boat was taken to shore.

* Small British hidout somewhere under Germany*

Indy shot up out of a large bed. He was covered in sweat from head to toe.
Implanted in his mind was the image of that Nazi biest.

There was a knock on the door.

³C-c-come in.² Indy answered

The door opened and there stood a short squat man of about fifty. He was
wearing a large red british Captains uniform. Indy shielded his eyes from
the light. The man stepped inside and switched on the light. He had a
perfecty bald head and a brownish, redy, grey moustache. The expression on
the mans face made Indy regognise him quickly.

³Captain Blumbert!² Indy exclaimed

³Ahh Doctor Jones, I see that you are with the living again,² Blumbert said
in a thick English accent. ³One of men saved you with the help of a
Bazooka!²

³Yes... er... who was that monster?² asked Indy

³Oh you meen that great hulk of a brute who attacked you?²

³Yes, of coarse.²

³The Naziıs call him Bruno but all of us here at the ŒEnglishı department
call him ŒTHE sopwith camelı.² answered the Captain

³ What happened to his arm?² asked Indy

³Well you see, last year sometime he was flying around in a sopwith camel
shooting down every british man who went in the sky,² Blumbert shook his
head and shivered.²One of your troops took him down with a pistol in the
motor. He jumped out of the plane, still alive but lacking an arm. His face
had been deformed from the crash but some how he made it back to Germany by
covering his wound with some kind of Œmagical clothı. Once in germany they
re-fitted his arm with a prototype machine gun.² he finnished

³Where did his plane crask?² asked Indy with curiosity

³ Somewhere near South America I believe²

³Where is this cloth now?² Shot out of Indyıs mouth

³I suppose ot is in Hitlerıs grand fortress where all the other artifacts
go.²

Indy looked at Blumbert with an expression of adventure.

³Oh I suppose we might be able to get there² Blumbert said

Indy walked over to Blumbert with gleaming eyeıs.

³Perhaps this can be my parth to Fortune and Glory!²

Indy walked back to his bed and looked around,²Whereıs my bullwhip?² he
asked Blumbert

Captain Blumbert beckoned Indy to follow him through the doorway. They
walked down twisting and winding passage ways. Each soldier stand at
attention as they walked past. Finaly he opened a door into a smokey, damp
room. Three man sitting around a table shot up out of there seats and faced
Blumbert.

³At ease men.² Blumbert orded

The three sat down and picked up there playing cards from the table.
Blumbert opened a cabinet on the far wall and lying there was his whip and
his 45 callibre revolver. Indy picked them up and then moved over to where
Blumbert was standing. Blumbert pulled a lever that was extending from the
wall. The wall opened to reveal a locked cabinet. Blumbert took out his
keyıs and unlicked the cabinet. Lying there was a small, off green
automatic
pistol.

³This is the only gun we have perfected to penertrate titanium,² that is
what the body guards armour is made of.² Blumbert said whilst walking over
to a raised platform of bricks. He beckoned Indy over. Indy walked over to
him with the new pistol. Blumbert walked to the front of the lineup and
picked up a sauspan from the table of card players. He held it up at the
end
of the line of bricks.

³Shoot through the bricks.² Blumbert instructed Indy

With a grin of disbelief Indy lined up the the weapon with the bricks. He
pulled the trigger and waited. He was blown to the back wall and stumbled.
As the bullet made itıs way through the bricks they flew up into dust and
lay on the ground, disintergrated.

³ CLANG!!!² went the sauspan as a hole appeard in it and sent Blumbert
toppling to the wall. A hole then appeared in the wall. Indy heard a long
crunching sound and then a small explosion.

Indy got up and walked over to the wall. He peered into the hole. He could
see through the next five rooms and three walkways. In the last walkway on
the floor was the mark of a small explosion.

³ That is one powerful gone captain² he said as he pulled Blumbert to his
feet.

³Yes quite!² Blumbert said with a grin.

³It explodes at the end of itıs coarse just for some extra exitement. But
beware, as it only has one round inside.² Blumbert warned Indy.
