I feel like an old maid sitting in her drawing room patiently knitting away on some sock (the nth pair), while taking a solemn pause to reflect on her younger years.
*cough cough*

"Oh dear," she says, her voice breaking audibly,"I remember those good old days when...*cough* I used to go to a place called ffforum. *sigh* Oh dear... I wonder how they are doing now. *contemplates for a few minutes and stares out of the dusty window* There used to be so many people there. Once upon a time. I remember someone called Goody... or was it GoodLord? Ah Goodsplurt? Hmm... and someone who used to play the Fiddle occasionally. Hm and too many who added the name "Indiana" to their names. *catches breath... inhale inhale* Yes... I remember. And the women too (of course of course). The women. Dear Jayne, that sweet child. And dearest Tessa, that karatewoman... or was it chop-chop woman? And the young kiddos who'd posts nonsensical nonsense, but make everyone laugh. *leans back and faintly smile* Ah yes... I remember.
She sits there in the fading light, her wicker chair creaking once in a while. Outside a rooster crows. It's getting late. She picks up her knitting tools and stands up, holding her aching back.
It sure has been some time.
