Prologue: The Lost World
Millions of years ago, long before written history, a cult thrived and ruled many lands. They would kill mercilessly, and burn down homes at will, slaughter women and children. They were an army of darkness, an army of death. They could possess powers beyond any human’s comprehension. You must also understand that they were true barbarians.

Della Morte, a well-set man of forty-five whom had many skills in weaponry and self-defense, looked around the great kingdom of the dead, a place whose fortunes consisted of blood; Della motioned to the ruler, waving his hand in the air. He spoke in an unknown language, whispering “the last years are to befall us soon, we are thriving now, sure, but it will not remain.” Della looked across the burial grounds. Outside the area was a large area of swamps and marshy lands. There was a large stone building to the left, filled with miraculous statues… but all of this was even before written history, it was the land that time forgot, it was the Lost World. Each and every day the land would sink, eventually fall completely into the ocean, the tide grew everyday and Della, and the rest of the Barbarians knew it that was the reason for taking the necessary precautions.
“I know, our armies are in trouble, we should begin to prepare, we will circle this rock and contrive the disaster which is sure to befall upon us” He looked at Della they both had a stern look to their face “We must not allow anyone to have our power. If this kingdom is going to fall we must cover it, our army can hold the evil temporarily but we need to stop it. Della you have been the priest for a while you will hold the burial.”
Della Morte whispered “Vigor will lead me on my voyage, he knows the way of the seas. But he must stay have on the ship; it is much too dangerous, and he is not a warrior. We will need twenty of our best men they will follow us and protect us.”
“Yes, but hurry go now.” The ruler led Della Morte out of the stone room.

“Quickly we must leave” Vigor hurried the workmen to finish the task at hand, Vigor was a strong powerful man, he was bald and very tall, his voice was commanding. He loaded several large swords and armory, his strength was many times greater than any of the strongest men combined, he could carry almost seven of the large swords at one time, he could brake a mans hand without doing it intentionally. “Complete your quest then we return, got it we must not risk anything nor should we waste time.” Vigor walked onto the boat deck flexing his large muscles.

The boat set out for the ocean followed by three more, the workers kept working at building items. They crossed several large islands and volcanoes; eventually the boats came to a halt at a very large piece of land. Della Morte chose five men. He told them to go to the land and to make sure it is safe, they went with their large swords drawn. They were to give a signal; it was a trick, used by mirrors, smoke, and fire.

After the signal was cast Della Morte went on. The others stayed in the boat. Della then told more workmen to bring the large wooden crates. They went across the long, tall, grassy plain, then crossed over a mountain, and to a very large active volcano, they could smell the lava and molten rock, it was a horrible stench but Morte was able to keep himself under-control, his long stern face made no expressions.
“Here it is, this is where we must” He pointed to the inside of the Volcano, “quickly” he shouted loudly so as for everyone to hear “we have limited time.” He waved his long arm and began walking up the volcano

They trudged through the mist and tress and bushes chopping down objects that got in their way with their large swords. They neared the top, it was hot and misty, the air was filled with a horrible stench, they came to the top, looking down, it was still active, and the air burned the lungs of the soldiers of death. They pulled out large coils of rope and threw them down the inside of the volcano, steam poured from it, followed by a large cloud of smoke, ash then fell to the ground covering them with the burning blackness. They first attached all their gear and other items and large wooden crates and swung them down inside, they then pulled the ropes up and attached themselves and swung down inside. Once down inside Della began searching for the hole, he found it, he pulled himself inside, he then gave the same signal and the others followed. They went through the large hole. “This is it… this is where the magic happened,” Della Morte said as he walked deeper into the hole. “OK now set the traps, close off the burial for the kings.” Della paused then said “now then open the large crates” the workers did as told, when they were opened they revealed several dead bodies the ribs were bashed in and a chain of fingers was given them around their necks. “Chain them to the wall!”
Again they did as they were told. The then walked out of the passageway and out near the burning lava. They crossed over to their ropes. The mist was burning now and sweat poured down their face and rolled into their dark black eyes, they could barely make out the shapes in front of them, everything looked red and dark. They climbed the ropes their large muscles bulging. They came out and then walked down the large volcano, through the forest and out onto the open field.
From where they were they could see their ship and see that there were workers preparing for the next departure. Della Morte began walking out onto the field followed by the others. He stopped. He looked around “Quiet.” He turned his head to the side. The others also heard. It was hoof-beats, they looked around then saw out of the forest to the right, the mighty riders were cloaked in black, large swords were swinging in their mighty hands. Vigor also saw this and ordered the men to get off the boat. they all ran towards the riders. Della Morte gave them a signal “Run towards Vigor stay behind him and be careful” he then ran forward with his mighty sword drawn.

Vigor and his troops reached the dark riders and immediately began to take battle, quickly with a loud swoosh the sword was out of it’s holder being swung with loud clangs and clashes. With one quick swing of his sword Vigor had severed the head of one of the black cloaked riders, immediately after he swung to the side chopping the sword wielding hand of another rider. Blood spurted from the hand of the rider and onto Vigor; he let out a dry smile as his face covered with blood then ended the rider’s misery by chopping off his head.
Il Malvagita, another worker for Vigor had two very large swords, he swung them simultaneously he was able to chop the heads of two unfortunate black cloaked riders.
As Della Morte caught up he also began in the battle in the fray, he reached behind him and with a loud whoosh the sword came from it’s holding immediately taking battle, chopping the heads of the dark riders. The head is where they had been trained to hit. It would kill instantly and so that is how they fought. Della ran over towards Il Malvagita, he swung the sword violently chopping the heads off he then was able to dismount one of the riders. The rider stood up expecting a challenge but he was surprised to see that Malvagita was stunned that he didn’t kill the rider so he stood for a moment, in fact he waited too long, the Rider took his chance and swung his sword, and severed Malvagita’s head. The body clumped to the ground and the head rolled off towards Della Morte. Della let out a scream and swung his sword at the killer of Malvagita, severing his head and the blood spurted from the rider’s body.
One of the taller black cloaked men ran up to Della Morte, sword high above his head ready to completely destroy him. Instead of the usual severing of the head Della Morte engaged in combat with the man. Their swords struck with mighty clangs. “Well young priest you are a good fighter, too bad you were born rich and were never competent for battle.” He gave a terrible mocking laugh “I will kill you easily!”
“Hah, I don’t think so, Anyway it’s better to be of ‘nobility’ than a son of a whore,” Della Morte grunted and swung quickly. The Black Cloaked rider was enraged and began swinging clumsily trying to kill Della; finally Della jabbed his sword through the heart, withdrew the sword and watched as the man dropped to his knees. Then he raised his sword again and swung chopping the head off, the blood spurted completely over his face, and Della let out a sly grin of satisfaction then screamed a mighty battle cry. He then returned to the battle.
This went on for some time; finally the battle was over. Della Morte and his men along with Vigor were still standing, not even a tired sigh emitted from their lips. The horses and bodies lay on the ground. They then walked towards the boat, set off and completed the task doing the same thing across the globe…

They once ruled the earth, destroying anything and everything that would make the painful mistake of challenging them but again this was before humanity, and all would change, all had changed. Soon after, Della Morte was proven correct; the kingdom had fallen, and the source of their power was hidden with the cylinders that generate the power scattered across the world. Forever to be forgotten. The power stored within the cylinders and one large golden skull is the only thing that can generate enough power to unlock the dead.

Just recently the Nazi’s have been poking their noses into things. They have unearthed the power of the dead, and have been gaining its strength. They have unearthed several digs. If they obtain it the world could end… it needs to be understood that if the Nazi’s do obtain the power, the atom bomb, which Indy will later learn about, will be a simple lightning storm compared to those powers, the electric chair would be a simple shock, a tornado would be a tiny fart.
Because these powers have the ability to completely destroy humanity and little do the Nazi’s know, but even if they do obtain the powers, yes, indeed they may have strong powers and rule for a very long time. But it will also destroy them and slowly destroy their ability to think and behave, they will have lost control, any army, which carries the power, will destroy themselves unknowingly. Indy will never know the full extent of the powers, and he never will want to know. Indy doesn’t realize it but what he is going after is to save humanity, not just for himself but the human race.
The only thing to give credit to those warriors were the fact they had the intelligence to hide the power in separate locations so no one else will have the same curse, unfortunately they were not well hidden enough. The Nazi’s already have a few cylinders, and will soon gain more.
Della Morte knew he was dying, and he knew he had to destroy the power before anyone else had the chance to get it…

Chapter 1 The Death Dig
Kazakhstan: The Kara-Kum desert JULY 8th

The hot morning sun beat down hard; giving a bright hazy glow, the workers however didn’t have a glow on their face. They had been digging for several days without uncovering something of interest, they had also never been paid, so it was reasonable that some of the men had become ill tempered; the sweat dripped from the hardworking men, whose shovels pounded into the desert sand. One man clanked against a large metal box. The man standing beside the digger pushed him aside, he whispered “put this next to the truck, make sure I can tell where it is though.”
“Yes sir” The man whipped the dirt from his face, he lifted the box onto his shoulders and carried the package to the truck moaning and grunting.
The Desert was filled with workers digging, to the side was a half covered underground tomb. There were a row of small greenish tents to the left, one was larger and stood out from the others. It was brown and had several small boxes, and a coiled bullwhip was laid to the outside.
The current ‘resident’ of the tent raised up from his cot, he moaned at the pain from yesterday he slept in those dirty beat up trousers and stained safari shirt, and the stitching in his webbing belt was showing signs of wear. But he thought with as much as they had been through it figures. He reached across and pulled his hat off the bar on the side of the cot, and propped it on top of his head, this was his favorite piece of clothing, and it was his “lucky” hat because it had had been through many of his adventures. He pulled a gun belt from his shelf, his legs ached at every movement, he reached for his gun, it was a Smith & Wesson New Century like most of his items it followed him on many adventures. He clicked open the chamber and loaded the bullets into the gun, locked the safety and placed the gun in his holster. He grabbed his shoulder bag, in it’s simplicity it was probably a very important item because it held his treasures and other necessities, and his secondary weapon, his Browning HP he checked the chamber and made sure it was loaded. He didn’t want to get caught without his artillery.
“Dr. Jones… oh your awake” The man spoke with a deep commanding voice, he was probably one of the best students Indiana had ever had, this one actually knew something about archeology.
“Yeah I was just getting ready. Hey you can go ahead and start. Go on ahead and open the entrance Kent”. Kent was a very well built and tall man of twenty-eight, he had golden blond hair and a clean complexion his eyes were amber and ever watching. He was a swift runner and extremely strong, he was also read a lot of literature. Kent also enjoyed horror movies. Indiana knew this because for a long time he had known his father, they were best friends and often worked together, them and Indy. His parents had died in a tragic skiing accident, ever since he was left with his family fortune and he took up classes with Dr. Jones for about once a year and often came to his house because he had no other family. He was also a charmer of the ladies, which almost everyone who knew him was positively sure of.

Indy heard Kent shouting commands across the dig. He knew it wouldn’t be the same without him. He was most definitely the best Archeologist Indy had seen in a long time, for his age. He could probably stay in his tent and sleep, while Kent could handle the whole dig.

But I should probably be there to handle this besides I want to be there to see the opening of the tomb, Indiana Jones thought. Indy rubbed his chin. I should also be prepared, he thought to himself. Indy stuffed three sticks of dynamite into his satchel. “No sense getting caught unprepared.” He jabbed four more sticks of dynamite and a box of matches into the bag “Wait maybe I should store these matches somewhere else.” He stuck the matches to his inside jacket pocket. As he began moving around more he felt a terrible stitch in his side, he bumbled out of the tent grabbing at his side. He searched for a small round stone. Ah found one! He bent over, lifted it and spit under it… old ‘Indian remedy’. You search for a stone gets your mind off the pain, find a stone, bend over, stretch’s your body, you spit and you feel better!

Indiana looked across the sand; except this dig there was nothing, nothing but miles of sand, for most people that was all it was: sand. Except when Indiana looked at it he saw an Archeologists dream, maybe the surface was miles of sand but below it, who knows; gold, jewels, diamonds, all sorts of Archaeological treasures. He looked around; the dig was a mess Roger Marshall was directing some of the digging, he also was very good. Indiana looked across at the two jeeps; the sand had blown over nearly covering them. The convoy truck had many gold statues, jewelry, a few arrows, and diamonds laid beside the truck, and would all go to a museum, Indiana was proud of his work, he risked his life to bring rare antiquities to museums. He looked to the side and saw lamps, pick ax’s, shovels, saw’s, and a few guns and knives for protection. He also saw wooden boxes, crates, and other junk. He walked over to Kent and just smiled

“Jeez pull” Kent screamed becoming fidgety and ennuyé at the workers ignorance “What is so hard” Kent grabbed at one of the pry bars, still screaming at the diggers “It’s not that hard to open a stone slab door”. Indiana rolled his eyes. The workers strained and grunted at the opening of the door. Indiana stood there holding his whip smiling.

Indy stared at Kent. If only Kent could hear himself speaking, he knew he shouldn’t have left him with so much responsibility especially since it was his first dig. But he thought he could handle it.
Indy walked towards the dig. His back ached and his arms were filled with pain.
Just as Indy reached the opening of the structure Kent and the diggers had the door open. Kent was filled with eagerness; he lit a torch and began to run forward into the dark mist. An arm reached forward stopping him dead in his tracks, he froze.
“That would be a bad career decision Mr. Philbin” He smiled at Kent “Maybe I should lead.”
He took the torch from a half-surprised Kent. He looked at Indy like he had just seen a ghost. Only in a way Kent had.
“My god” the words tumbled out of Kent’s mouth.

Chapter II Deeper into the Heart of Death
Indy turned around to see what had so scared him; the torch lit the end of the hall when before it didn’t. Indy saw a rotted corpse only it had a necklace of cut-off fingers except it looked as though they were still fresh, yet this cave has not been opened for millions of years. Indy only grumbled he had seen things like this before except; except for the necklace of fresh fingers, half of the diggers ran screaming in terror, Kent was still frozen, his stomach was churning, Indy then noticed something else about the corpse it’s ribs had been bashed in…
Kent only kept shaking, he was frightened to death, sweat poured from his brow. Except Indy was still able to keep himself under control as if had seen this sort of thing all the time. He clutched his bullwhip prepared. Indiana possessed his authority, his disposition, his prestige, and his supremacy!
Indy proceeded through the long chamber; his watchful eyes surveyed everything. What was probably the oddest thing about this Tomb was that there were tons of the same corpses chained to the walls with the same necklace of fingers, and all had their ribs bashed in. They discovered this as they kept walking each time seeing the same horrifying scene. It looked as though the prisoners of death were still being tortured, with their mouths gaping open and their heads nailed to the wall. Indy’s guess was that this might have happened while they were still alive, but he could only guess and it wasn’t an educated one either.
Kent was cringing as he walked through the Tomb, seeing death right in the face. He hated dead bodies, but he had to study them when trying to become an archeologist. Kent hated blood and dead bodies, during medical school he nearly fainted every time he had to take blood, he hated bodies. They horrified him, he could picture it in his mind… one of the bodies coming alive and eating him or something, Kent had a very vivid imagination and he knew it. But he didn’t have any control over it.

“This is creepy, we should get out of here it’s too dangerous here. Please let us leave Indiana. We will die in here I have a gut feeling” Kent said looking around at the skeletons seeing their horrifying facial expressions and the rotting old bones crumbling and smelling of a horrible stench.

“No we will be ok, these are not zombies, you should probably stop watching those horror movies, there as asinine as hell anyway” Indy kept walking leading the diggers, and Kent Philbin.

Indy froze he saw a change in the floor pattern when once it was just sand, now it was stone, and the walls no longer had the corpses chained to the them. Kent also took note that the skeletons were gone. Indiana saw tiny holes in the walls, which he guessed to contain poison tipped darts… or at least darts of some sort, he knew it was a trap at least.

“What is wrong let’s go on” Kent was braver now that the corpses were no longer there, he felt stronger and is he could take over now that the body’s were gone. He started to walk on through the Temple.

Indiana jerked Kent to the wall “Look at the floor” Indiana pointed his finger at Kent as he spoke, he then motioned it down to the stone paneling

With a grating voice Kent said, “I see it!”

“Notice the patterns” Indy motioned to the floor, showing Kent’s carelessness, he showed the floor pattern, and then motioned his finger back up toward the tiny holes.

“What’s so special about it” Kent said surprised at what was happening, to him there was nothing there but floor and walls. There wasn’t anything that could possibly be of danger to him, or at least what he could see.

Indy decided to let Kent prove himself wrong “Here take this torch and merely tap the floor, I’ve already deled with these kinds of traps”.

“Traps” Kent said bewildered, but he did as he was told he tapped the floor with the bottom of the torch. A dart shot from the wall and struck the torch. “It was a trap” Kent felt ignorant as he looked at Indy, Indy merely smiled dryly as he stared at Kent, knowing that he had proved him wrong.

“Step where I step” Indiana was using his normal commanding voice. He pulled a piece of chalk from his shoulder bag. With each step Indy made he marked the stone on which he stepped with the chalk so as not to trip the traps, and also giving guidelines as to where the others were to step.

Then once Indiana got a few feet away the diggers and Kent started to make their stepping on top of Indy’s markings. It was like a game of following the leader.

Eventually Indiana stopped he examined the area before him. There was a shaft of light coming from the ceiling.

“Don’t they have any originality” Indiana whispered to himself.

“What did you say Indiana” Kent was puzzled by Indy stopping there was nothing there. Now Kent was finally becoming an archeologist he realized what was going on “A trap” Kent whispered to himself finally. It was a trap but only this time Indiana was the one who was wrong.

Indy just ignored him he shot his hand into the light and just as quickly jerked it back. Nothing happened, he did it again, and yet again nothing happened. He didn’t want to get caught the way his OLE buddy Satipo did. He shifted his boot, snapping one of the vines, which were covering the floor. At that time almost simultaneously Kent lunged forward knocking Indiana to the floor they sprawled through the dirt at that time spikes shot through the walls.

“What the hell” Indy shouted. He looked back at the spikes shocked.

Outside in the desert

Roger was pacing back and forth, looking frantically around, “Where in the hell were they.” Something went wrong, but Roger kept his distance from the cave. “They should be back by now.” After the first few of the diggers came running out screaming bloody murder, he knew something was wrong, he continued his pacing. He then stood there annoyed, he kicked his boot in the sand, a small cylinder rolled from the sand, “Hello there” Roger said looking at the cylinder in the sand, “Your exactly what I’ve been looking for, Hey get over here,” he signaled to one of the workers.
“Yes, what do you need,” The worker said.
“Put this near my packages” He handed the worker the small cylinder. The worker ran off.

Back in the Cave

“The vine. You see they’re protruding from the wall, they were carved and placed in that somehow the vine was rigged for when it snapped it would trigger those spikes to jut from the wall and as you see they wanted you to die because they left you seven of them.” Kent was gasping for breath he nearly killed himself and he knew it, he looked over at the old rusty spikes, with the sharpened tips, awaiting their victims, but thanks to Kent they didn’t get their prey.

“Hmmm come on lets go” Indiana kept walking through long tomb watching everywhere he went and everything he did. He knew that whoever these people are they didn’t want him to leave. “This is where they probably held the rituals.”

“Excuse me.” Kent said.

“Well you see this is probably a Tomb for an ancient cult. Don’t worry it was wiped out long ago. You see these darker… uh ‘Evil’ cults held ritual’s worshiping their gods. You see many times they would… uh remember those corpses we saw out front, well they were probably human sacrifices, well in fact I know they are. There are probably hundreds of tombs buried under the sand here, this was probably just where they worshiped their god or where they placed those that they killed mercilessly or sacrificed. Because this has been set up different than any other uh ritual site” Indy was having trouble explaining this to Kent because he didn’t quite understand it all either. “We should probably do some more research over this but I’m pretty sure that’s right, but really I’m basing this on pure speculation and past experiences. Do you remember the Thugee they had human sacrifices that they did for their god the Shiva?” Indiana spoke in whispers now because they were now approaching a large room…

Chapter III Opening of a Shimmer of death

Indiana led Kent and the remaining ten diggers into the room. They saw seven coffins, all made of stone, they looked across the room and found there was another room, and only a large stone slab door blocked it. They examined the coffins they had strange markings on them. Indiana lifted the top of the coffin off one of the larger ones. He saw bones wrapped in red cloth with a large headpiece made of human skulls and bull tusks. But the whole thing was lined with wet blood.

“Strange” Indy kept his normal solid face.

“What is it Indy.” He came to see what Indy was looking at. “Yes it is strange hmmm. What do you think Dr. Jones” Kent said cringing, even though he was able to calm himself, this was worse than the skeletons outside he thought to himself, he couldn’t bare the site of this. “And why is the blood still wet?”

“I don’t know. Here lets just open the door I don’t think we should meddle with this right now.” Indiana signaled for two diggers to open the door.
The diggers pried the door open. As it was opening smoke shot from the door, and melted the digger's hands. Then all of a sudden the door blew open, crumbling when it hit ground, the smoke engulfed the diggers, as their bodies melted away they screamed in pain, they rubbed their arms and were able to feel their own bones. The mist encircled the room clouding the top circling around as If it was alive like a ghost. The remaining diggers Screamed in horror at the newly made corpses. Indiana was able to see through the mist past into the room, he saw a beautiful statue of gold With Eyes of rubies a necklace of silver and a dagger held in all six of it’s hands made of emeralds. There were golden jewels scattered all over the floor. The room shimmered of gold and diamonds. But Indiana was running out of time, and the mist was slowly beginning to surface. Nearly everything that the mist touched rotted and decayed the dead diggers bodies rotted as though they lay there for one thousand years. Quickly Indy shouted for them to turn around and leave

“Hurry lets get out of here move, GO, GO” Indiana shouted as he and Kent ran from the room. The other diggers were at Indy’s heels and also so was the mist. The mist flowed from the room into the tunnel like a flood. They ran as fast as they could never stopping their breath heaving, and their chests pounded. Sweat poured from their forehead and their skin turned white as they thought of the dangerous mist flowing behind them. Indiana’s face began to turn red then from red to white as he realized he was running from death.
They kept running barely escaping the mist, One of the diggers lost balance and his arm was nearly burnt off from the power of the mist, yet he was still able to keep running something inside him helped him in his escape.

Kent ran through some cobwebs, they blocked his eyesight to where he couldn’t tell where he was going. He kept running trying to get the sticky mess from his face; he couldn’t do it his legs began to shake because he couldn’t tell where he was going in such a dangerous place. He tripped over a rock and flew four or five inches and sprawled over the ground. He screamed in terror because at this moment for the first time in Kent’s life he knew that he was about to die…

“Holy Smokes” Kent spat out as he screamed. He lay there with his hands waving in the air, his skin pale white his eyes wide with fear.

The other diggers ran across Kent’s body, without stopping to help. He screamed for help as the diggers ran across his body, trembling his bones, they crushed his ribs and breaking his nose, arms, legs, and foot. Kent rolled over and ripped the cobwebs from his eyes finally able to see again, he began to get up he looked in front of him the diggers were way ahead, he then looked behind him and saw the mist it was like an animal hunting for his prey. He started to scream the mist shot through his body rotting his flesh and turning his bones brown, spilling his intestines; his eyes fell out of his sockets then immediately melted, he felt the cold rot, he smelt himself slowly oozing, his stench was horrifying. Kent, Indiana Jones’s best partner had died, died because he tripped over a rock. Now he would never see those he cherished dearly, they would just be sent a yellow piece of paper, and given a false reason for his death… they would never know the truth, and everyone else would forget him except those he loved.
Indiana ran he was just barely able to see his partner die. He ran through the traps the spikes jutted from the walls just barely missing Indiana.

One of the diggers was just behind Indiana the spike shot from the wall it just barely struck him; it ran across his stomach, spilling some of his intestines. He stumbled back, his body stumbling; he was able to mumble, but that just came out as blurs. Suddenly something fell into his cupped hands it was sticky his eyesight was blurry, he was dizzy and he felt sick, The digger blinked his eyes and looked down at his hands. He now was realizing what it was, he was holding his own stomach, he shuddered, and threw his hands in the air he bent over and threw up, all that came out was blood he realized this was his last second to be alive. He then turned over and lay dead. The mist swept across his body and demolished what was left of him.

Indiana ran across the hallway, He could hear screams and screeches behind him. The darts shot across his body the whole place was caving in, bits and pieces of rock were falling on his body he saw another digger run ahead of him. Blood spattered on his jacket as he saw the digger fall across the floor dead. Indiana got a second wind and ran ahead and looked back all the others behind him had died. He pulled a stick of dynamite from his satchel and lighted it and threw it behind him, the ceiling caved in but the mist did not stop it merely shattered the cave-in wall barrier. He shouted although he knew it did not matter. Like Kent he now thought he too was going to die.

Chapter IV A happy little stroll

Indiana ran faster and faster, his forehead sweated, he was panic stricken, his head ached, his brains felt fried, and his body was tired. But the faster he ran the closer the mist came. It ran like a cougar about to strike its prey. Indiana lit several sticks of dynamite at once and threw to land where they fell. The dynamite blocked the mist long enough for him to turn a corner, Indiana was now able to see light, The dynamite also allowed him to escape the mist. He ran into the light, his eyes winced with pain because he had been in the dark for so long. He shouted for them to help him block the door, they grunted as they pushed and heaved the door closed, as they were able to block the mist they were finally able to relax. Indiana bent over catching his breath sighing. Roger came running over to him asking several questions.

Indy huffed and puffed as he spoke “He’s gone he’s dead they’re dead they all died” gasp “Whew I’ll, Roger, I’ll talk to you in the tent in a minute let me catch my breath”. Indy bent over to catch his breath he was gasping like a fish out of water. He was able to stumble up to the tent he jerked his hat off his head, and tumbled into the tent.

“So… what is it” Roger was eager to hear his story. He was as giddy as a schoolboy was.

“Ok… Ok one minute. Once we were walking through the hall we came across a corpses, dozens of em, all had their ribs bashed in and all had fresh fingers wrapped around their necks.” Indy was still huffing.

“What? I’ve got to see this” Roger was already heading out the tent.
“Uh, you cant” Indiana was breathing calmer now. “Were not going back in” Indiana was regaining his rough attitude, after he had caught his breath.

“Why not.” Roger said confused.

“Well for a minor reason there are traps and second there is something in there almost like a dead spirit engulfing all that came in there.”

“Oh come now, I know you Dr. Jones and you don’t believe all that superstitious hocus pocus, boogey man nonsense.” Roger said

“Well actually this was an old burial ground for an ancient more than presumably long gone cult. Somehow they were able to preserve an acid or such inside the wall so that once opened would produce the acid to release in the form of a large expanding gas. Unfortunately I did not know of this and immediately opened it. Perhaps had I known we could have studied closer and maybe actually escaped with some of the ‘treasures’? But unluckily we didn’t and now the mist is still there waiting to be opened to destroy those that do come to open it. Actually we are going to have to destroy of this before someone else can find it and use it against us… hey what time is it.” Indiana put his head in his hands; he was tired, after that exhilarating run.

“Uh eleven o clock AM. Why?” Roger said looking down at his watch which had a cheap leather band, some of the lens had cracked and one of the hands was just slightly bent but it still kept good time and had been handed down through his family for years.

“Great” Indiana said with banter. “Hurry tell them to pack up. By the way when does the plane leave?” Indy kept speaking as he started packing, luckily he had packed light. “I shouldn’t have scheduled that lecture for today or I should have cancelled. I’ll never be able to make it in time.”

“The plane leaves at eleven forty five.” Roger was even packing his things and out the door yelling to the diggers to get everything packed up. Indiana was right behind him.

Indiana screamed for the diggers to hurry “How long does it take to get back to town?”

“Thirty five minutes” Roger was shoving his things into the convoy truck. The diggers packed the gold and jewels safely into the wooden crates. The pick-ax were shoved into storage compartments under the seats in the truck, the jeep was loaded with the wooden crates containing the jewels, the sand was being swept away from the jeep as the other diggers loaded the items onto the jeep. Indiana pushed his suitcase next to Rogers and stuck his notes in his black briefcase. When he got inside the truck and settled down he then began to jot down notes for his classes next week. Once everything was loaded Roger hopped into the back of the Truck and sat next to Indiana. The truck drove off following the jeep.

General Veloshikov waited impatiently for a Dr. Kishov. He was usually late, he had been on an archeological dig somewhere in Kazakhstan, they had discovered some sort of weapon or something to help them with the war or something along these lines. He wouldn’t even be here had it not been for Hitler sending him down here. General Veloshikov was a poker-faced man he never smiled and never frowned. He was a tall rough set man of his forties. Clean- and polished boots till you could see your reflection. Suddenly a door creaked open, the general’s head swung to his side. It was a young officer; he handed a small yellow slip of paper to General Veloshikov. It read:
" Dr. Kishov läßt es nicht im heutigen Tag bitte tomorrow bei dem Taktgeber mit elf O zurückkommen: "
The general stuffed the slip of paper into his pocket and then walked out of the door with a stern cold face.

Kazakhstan airport
The large convoy truck pulled up to the small airport. Roger started to yell for the ‘prizes’ to be unloaded to the smaller plane. People all over the airport stared at the men; they were filthy and covered in dust. Possibly the owner, a man dressed in a black suit, came running out with a handkerchief covering his mouth from the dust.

“Sir you are not supposed to be here. You were supposed to pull around back. With you and your filthy crew” The man spoke with a strong accent. His hair was greased back. Indiana merely pushed him aside and watched Roger finish the unloading.
Roger was loading the ‘goods’ on to the mini plane; he looked back to the jeeps and convoy truck they were covered in dust and filthy. Roger then was careful so as not to catch Indy watching he pulled out a large Aluminum briefcase he shoved a few bits of rock statues and numerous seemingly unimportant items, he shut the lid and locked it. After they had finished the unloading, Roger began walking toward Indiana. The mini sailed off into the sky; Indy watched it as it went off piercing through the clouds.

“Well let’s go. We have a long flight.” Indy started walking towards the North American side of the airport.

“Hey I’m sorry but I have a different flight.” Roger said as he was already turning around heading for the West wing.

Indiana began to wonder why Roger was heading towards the German wing of the airport, but just shrugged it off not bothering or caring.

“Good evening Dr. Jones. Ticket please” The ticket taker batted her eyes politely.

“Good evening” Indy smiled and gave her the ticket and proceeded through the Airport. He then walked a long hallway and took a seat. He began making notes. The plane began to lift then headed over that great glue ocean towards America.

Dr. Kishov walked into the room General Veloshikov stood. He walked across the room towards Dr. Kishov. He stared him in the face.

“So do you have it” The General spoke in monotone, his eyes never leaving the scientists. His eyes were cold, and never blinking like the eyes of a wild man or a Cannibal.

“You know I do. Would I let you down.” He smiled as he began to take the contents from his suitcase. To Indiana Jones he would be Roger to the Germans he is a spy, a scientist, and a brilliant geneticist, but he also had limited knowledge of archeology, even in his young age he was a valuable person to the Nazi party. His eyes were ever watchful, moving from side to side, coming from when he had been living in the streets.

“Good, very good” The General still did not have any excitement in his voice, that same dreary boring tone.

“Now you probably would like to have some idea as to what this is.” He allowed time for the General to give a nod. “Very well you see, actually contrary to what the superstitious diggers had thought. It was not a mysterious living cult enchanting them… actually it was…”

Barnette College, Classroom # 302

“As you heard me explain before, It was NOT an evil that was haunting us. It was an uh ah” Indiana Jones blinking twice he stuttered. The girl closed her eyes again, this time Indy was able to make out that in eyeliner pencil she wrote ‘Love You’. He wished she would stop writing him messages, it began making him stutter. “You see it was a Virus, and as you all know that viruses can stay alive for millions of years” He waited for the class to nod “so it was preserved, it was held within the walls, once the door opened, The virus unleashed itself. Also there were currents in their planted at just the perfect place to where it moved as if it was living. So don’t get any ideas of ‘Boogie Man ghosts haunting you’. Also now I am going to explain my theory as to how the fingers were preserved.” He knew he was bullshitting them. It was all a bunch of nonsense, he knew there was something evil, something under that sand!
At that time Marcus Brody and three other men walked into the room and sat at the table at the back of the room. Indy stared at them, he knew these people were government agents, they dressed like them, and if anyone knew, it would be Indy, he had dealt with these kinds of people before. They watched him finish his lesson, with a disgruntled look.

“You see I’m sure all of you are familiar that Mummies preserved their dead kings.” The class nodded “Well they found a preservation of their own only it kept it in pristine condition. Well it ‘whitened’ as it aged but still it remained preserved. You see they probably…” the bell for the next class blasted from the halls. “Ok remember homework is due next Monday.” Indiana walked back to Marcus and the three gentlemen.

“Good day Dr. Jones. We have something concerning you’re most recent dig, do you recognize this man” The chubby man stuck out his hand and showed a picture of a man he covered up the name.

“Of course he is Roger, from my dig, he was one of my partners, why is he in some sort of trouble?” Indiana said cautiously

“I’m afraid he is Dr. Jones,” The fat man said. He grunted “You see his real name is Dr. Kishov, Andreus Kishov.” The fat man spoke still had the same disgruntled look.

Marcus spoke up “You see Indy once you deposited those little items to me with the diamonds and statues I noticed, his wallet had fallen in, when I read the name and saw the picture, I recognized it as German. Then I immediately notified these people, you see I had heard his name before from one place or another, I can’t recall where exactly but even still I do remember it was German so I began looking through documents and that sort, and –.”

The short skinny one cut Marcus off “You see he is a Scientist, he works for the Nazis. We believe they have discovered something that could destroy the Human race, and we don’t want it to fall into Hitler’s hands. So naturally we came to you, we want you to help us. Do you accept the offer? We will also fund your dig”

“I don’t know I’m rather busy” Indiana said monotone, he didn’t want to get caught up in this any more.
“For the next five years,” The chubby government man said.
Indiana smiled, laughed and then said “Sure, when do I start.”

“We will start you in Berlin” The third man and the tallest of the three spoke up “You will locate the base, gather information as to what you are going to do. Ok now, you will be started off with eight thousand dollars, if you need more money ask us please, but be very careful, this man you are tracking, Andreus Kishov he is a spy, there are probably many others, so be very careful.” The men walked out of the room.

“I cant believe you are going to do this” Marcus said.

“Hey Marcus, could you get Andre to cover for me this next three weeks.” Indiana said as he watched the men walk down the hall. “Besides why wouldn’t I, funding for the next five years who knows what that could bring for the museum”
“Three weeks” Marcus was astonished “I guess I can. Why three weeks” Marcus was shocked, thoughts raced through his mind why on earth would it take three weeks.

“Even if it’s not three weeks I still want some time to recuperate” Indiana now had a solid face. “Besides Andre can deal with this class well”

“Yes Andre is a tough teacher” Marcus walked out of the room. He shouted out “I will call him in a minute.”

Indy walked out of the classroom. He peeked in Marcus’s office, there were millions of papers and other things on his desk. Most of them were probably dealing with that matter of the Ark, ever since the government had taken it, Marcus tried desperately to get it back for the museum. “It does belong in a museum though,” Indy said to himself as he walked up to his car. Indy suddenly realized that he had forgotten something he rushed back to Marcus’s office. Marcus was off the phone now. “Marcus put a note on my desk for Andre, that I have his lesson laying on the desk. Ok tell him that everything’s planned out. All he has to do is read it” Then Indy walked out the room.
“Ok Indy I got it” Marcus said as Indy walked to his car.

“You see actually, there were also small little, containers they would hold the power. You see what we found at this dig was a canister that you see would give powerful generations power that could create disasters such as the mist I was telling you about. If we can complete this we can control anything.” Dr. Kishov spoke with a feeling of power.

“You sound like one of those crazy suicidal madmen, from those Americana movies.” General Veloshikov still had his monotone voice. He also had a rich German accent

“No I’m telling the truth. We can really take control of the world” Dr. Kishov became excited, raising his voice.

“Ok what do you want to do now” General Veloshikov said, he was becoming board with this conversation. He thought it could never happen, he was a very down to earth person.

“Ok do you see the symbols on this cylinder.” He waited for a nod from the General. “Ok you see this symbol stands for the world” he waited for another nod, “now these canisters were buried in seven parts of the world,” He said watching the General’s solemn face. The General grunted showing his boredom “So when their empire would fall, and they were smart because they knew it would happen sooner or later, they hid those canisters in different parts of the world, to keep those not of the cult from holding the power. We have already collected four of these. With each one we collect they tell us where to go. You see this marking here, it stands for Australia, with this it is a Jungle.” Dr. Kishov was excited, as he began pointing out the symbols of the small canister, giving the reason and what it stood for.
“Ok you can do it, but what do you need to process these powers.” General Veloshikov said.

“Don’t need anything, these will lead us to it.” Dr. Kishov held up the tiny cylinders

“It. What is this it, what is it that you are going after.” General Veloshikov asked.

“I don’t know, we will find out.” Dr. Kishov said as he headed toward the door. “I’m leaving tomorrow. We think we will find what were looking for in South America tomorrow, you will not need to be there. Not until we find our treasure at least.” Dr. Kishov said

“Good, I wasn’t planning on coming” finally a smile cracked from General Veloshikovs lips.

Dr. Kishov walked out the door and General Veloshikov followed behind him. Dr. Kishov waited for Veloshikov to get all the way down the hall then he locked door, and slipped the cylinder into his trench coat pocket

Chapter VI More Excitement
Crichton Airfields

“Hey Chris” Indy looked around for a moment “Chris you here.”

“In my office” A voice said from a tiny room.

Indiana walked towards the tiny room, he saw a man in his mid-twenty’s. Trombone player’s awards and achievements surrounded the room. “You still a trombonist, Chris” he said. Chris Hughes was a tall man who loved to fly, Indy’s only pilot he has ever trusted, but Chris really liked money, who doesn’t, Indy thought to himself as he seated himself in one of the broken down leather chairs. The desk was piled with junk, cluttered with sheet music and pilot records, plane stats and flying charts and weather diagrams.

“Yeah” Chris Hughes said rather proud of himself. “So what can I do for you.” Chris asked as he walked towards his friend. Holding his hand out, they shook hands firmly showing they had been good friends.

“I need you to send me to Berlin” Indy said as he and Chris walked through the large hanger. There were scrap pieces and other junk scattered across the floor. Indiana looked around, the place was filthy and not many workers were there to keep it going, and clean. “I’m sorry the owner died” Indiana said as they were walking to the small plane.
“Yes he was a good man,” Chris said.
“Yeah Charles was a good pilot, he was also a good friend. I heard he died from cancer. Smoking is what I heard. He had too many cigarettes,” Indiana said as he walked next to Chris towards some of the planes.
Chris nodded then said, “Yeah, He gave me the hanger and all in it. Left me all his money. So I hired some new workers. The best men I could find, they flew planes for the army. I’m keeping the original name, in his honor.”
“Well can you take me to Berlin” Indiana asked. “Also you might want to be prepared.”
“I cant, I gotta fly some rich guy to California. He is willing to pay me thirty five thousand dollars if I can get him there in an hour. I jumped at the offer, as you know.” Chris said indignantly. “I’m sorry I can’t fly ya down their and all.” Chris said as they neared the plane.
“Well then how am I going to get down there.” Indiana asked Chris who wasn’t paying any attention.
“A couple of my new workers will do it ‘K’, they can get ya down there and back.” Chris said as he threw some maps and diagrams into a small metal box.
“Who! I want someone that you would trust.” Indiana said jerking Chris to attention. “I don’t want someone that will leave me to die.”
“Pal I’d trust these two with my life, they would never turn on you because you are my friend ok.” Chris said as he looked around. “Speak of the devil.”
“And the devil appears” A tall slender woman, mid-twenties, said as she walked towards Chris and Indiana. “You must be Professor Indiana Jones. Nice to finally meet you. You’re exactly as I would expect you” She was wearing tight khakis, and a tight pleated tan blouse. A red scarf was wrapped around her neck; her hair was pulled into a ponytail. The man who was following her was tall and dark, his hair was sandy blonde and combed back, he looked about in his late twenties; he also had a gun hanging at his side.
“Hey glad to meet cha Dr. Jones,” He said with a strong voice as he stuck his hand out. It was greasy from plane oil; Indiana stuck his hand out and embraced in a friendly handshake.
“Well it seems you guys now know this is Indiana I’ve told you about.” Chris said friendly.
“From the stories you’ve told I would recognize him anywhere.” The girl said politely.
“Well since you know him now. Indiana this lovely young lady is Meagan Brooks.” Chris said introducing the two.
“Nice to meet you Meagan.” Indiana said. At that moment their eyes embraced, they seemed to twinkle. Indiana smiled.
“And this Dr. Jones is Goodsport. He is an excellent pilot.” Chris smiled then added “Almost as good as me.”
“I hear about a lot of your adventures.” Goodsport said as he shook Indy’s hand again.
“Well maybe this time you’ll get to live one of my adventures” Indiana said smiling.
“Hopefully. I will look forward to it.” Goodsport said.
“Ok I would like to tell you something the plane that you will fly is in another area. You have heard I’m flying that rich man off to California. So I had to fly it to my small field. Theirs a long dirt road I parked it on and it’s a four-hour drive. I know Goodsport has an apartment there, and Meagan has a small house out there, but Indiana where will you stay. You won’t be leaving until tomorrow morning.” Chris said as he walked towards his office
“He can stay with me. If that’s okay with you Dr. Jones” Meagan said.
“That’s fine with me.” Indiana said, walking inside the office.
“Good. You will sleep on the couch. Okay.” Meagan said sitting down in one of the chairs.
“Okay now that that’s settled why don’t we get ready to get you out of here Dr. Jones. You and Goodsport will go get things ready.” Chris said then added. “Oh, I will need to leave now see you later Dr. Jones.”
“Ok lets go” Goodsport said heading out the door.
“I’ll have the car ready Dr. Jones when you’re through put your gear in the trunk then come get me I’ll be in the coffee room.” Meagan said and walked off.
Indiana stared as Meagan walked away watching her shifting hips sway with each step.
“You like her,” Goodsport smiled.
“Yeah” Indy whispered.

Goodsport whispered back, “You’re not the first.” He smiled. “In the Navy many of the other pilots liked her too. She couldn’t go a day without receiving a dozen roses.”
“Are you and her…” Indiana asked?
“Nah we worked together so long it wouldn’t seem right, for us to marry. It’d be like marrying my sister.” Goodsport said and continued to pack.
“She is beautiful though,” Indiana said.
“Hmmm, very pretty indeed.” Goodsport said. He slung a backpack over his shoulder.
“Hey wait, I suppose you know the origin of your name. Godspeed to wish someone a prosperous journey, why even Goodsport means to wish a prosperous journey,” Indiana said as he walked beside Goodsport to his car. “Well then, Godspeed”, he smiled.
“Thanks.” Goodsport said, then he put his belongings in the trunk and he departed. Indiana walked to Meagan’s car and threw his satchel inside and slipped into the passenger seat.

The car swerved down the road, the dust blew from the wheels, several trees and sheds quickly past out of their view. Indiana hummed a tune through his dry parted lips; it was as time goes by!

Meagan Brook’s countryside house 12:00 PM

“Are you sure you wouldn’t like something to eat, I do cook” Meagan smiled and walked off. She hoped he didn’t because all she had was peanut butter.
“I’m not a bit hungry. All I want to do is sleep, we have a long week ahead.” Indiana said laying his head on the couch.
“Oh yes I suppose Goodsport told you I was, umm very popular in the army.” Indiana nodded “Well I just want to tell you I’m a good girl and don’t get wrapped up in bad things. I don’t want you having a bad idea. Well I’m off to bed,” Meagan said walking up the stairs.
Indiana for some reason liked this girl. She was different. He then tipped his hat down over his eyes and drifted to sleep, not at all looking forward to what would happen. The museum wouldn’t even get the piece, whatever it is. Just like they didn’t get the ark, the government will use it for some sort of biological testing.

Indiana jumped awake when he heard a rumbling at the door. He thought for a moment he then walked behind the kitchen counter thinking what to do. The doorknob shook and took a quick jab, the door flew open, revealing two men dressed entirely in black, the man on the left had a moustache, and clutched a Tommy Gun. He showed it around the room pointing, searching for his prey. The second man was clean shaved and an evil smirk lay across his lips. He carried a small pistol and began searching the room. The other man followed. The man threw papers and desk drawers out onto the floor, the table ends were turned over, he whispered in German to the other man.
The other man laughed silently, and continued with his search. They were looking for anything to find that would give them something to report back on. He turned he also needed to find Dr. Jones, he couldn’t allow him to live the rest of the night.

Meagan jumped up in her bed. She grabbed her gown and pulled it on she peered out the hall and saw the tip of a Tommy Gun. She recognized it easily in the darkness, in her previous line of work she saw them many times, she also had her eyes trained to see in the dark. She hopped back to her room, and searched frantically for her gun.

Apartment #567 Goodsports place of residence.

The German man tucked the gun inside his overcoat, and slammed himself into the door crashing inside Goodsports apartment.
Luckily Goodsport had heard him walking up the steps, and considering no one ever came here late that night he was ready, once the man in the overcoat stepped in he pulled his gun out only to have it knocked from him by Goodsport.
The man leaped forward onto Goodsport they sprawled through the floor and finally Goodsport was able to gain control. The large brute pulled out a knife, but just as quickly Goodsport had jerked it from his hand. In spite of the fact that he did it carelessly and he inadvertently cut a deep scar onto his forehead, for only a half second his vision was indistinct and unsteady, then contiguously came back to voluminous strength. He wrapped his strong hands around his neck he searched for the area he was looking for, probing for the correct spot, he found an area of skin, it was something he learned from the Navy he jabbed, that paralyzed the unfortunate inexperienced man, he lay there blustering for breath.
Goodsport bent over, he reached into the large mans overcoat and grabbed his gun. He was a Nazi, more than likely he was a spy, he could tell. He had a few run ins with them before.
Then man was turning pale his hand grew bony and white. His cheeks sucked in, his whole body shriveled up, then in one second he died a painful death. Goodsport looked at the body then frowned. “I better get rid of this before it starts to stink.” He looked around the room there wasn’t anything he could put it in. After looking around he just picked up the body, pushed him out his window and into the Dumpster. The crumpled body lay in the garbage it would only be a few minutes before flies congregated around it.

:
Indiana grabbed a glass jar and threw it at the man with the Tommy Gun’s head. He was knocked to the floor and the gun slid across the room. The other man turned around and sprayed gunfire at Indy, except he wasn’t to be found he had already hidden behind the kitchen counter. Jones looked for the perfect time. This was it, the perfect timing; the man had turned around and began going back to his work. He lunged across the counter knocking the man with the smirk to the ground he wrestled the gun out of his hand. At that time the one with the mustache had gotten up, he pulled Jones off the man and threw him on a small wooden table. The table broke to pieces under Indiana’s weight. After he had fallen the man with the mustache had leapt his body on Jones and was asphyxiating him. Indiana kept reaching for something, anything he could get his hands on, he found it, a small piece of the broken table, and he grabbed it and drove it right through his brain he cocked his head backward and his head turned pale purple. His body was frozen.
The man with the smirk had gotten up and grabbed his gun, he said slyly “Jones I can’t allow you to finish.” He pointed his gun at Indy signaling him to put his hands up, his eyes wild and cautious the eyes of a madman.
“I’m sorry but I have to,” Indy did as he was told and put his hands above his head.

At that time Indiana saw the man start to pull the trigger. He then heard gunshot fire; he motioned as if it had been him being shot. He looked up he saw the man crumple over and passes to the floor. He looked forward and saw Meagan standing there with the pistol aimed his mouth drooped at the sight. The blood poured out of his mouth, his arms were flung in front of him, and the man quickly turned pale white, then purple.
Indiana gave a smirk cocked his head to the left then let out a sigh of relief.
“I thought you may have needed some help,” she said smiling. “I think we should try to get a bit more sleep we have a long next week.” She dropped the gun on the table and began climbing the stairs. Indiana was bewildered at her cool calm fashion, the way she simply placed the gun on the table, as if it happens all the time. He got the sense she had an ‘don’t worry, it’ll be okay tomorrow’ disposition. He shrugged; not wanting to look diminutive mimicked her attitude and pulled his fedora over his eyes, already knowing he sure as hell wouldn’t be getting any sleep!
“This may not be important right now but what should we do with the body,” Indiana shouted up the stairs.
She laughed “Leave it I’ll clean it up and throw it away tomorrow, how the heck should I know.”
“Funny, very funny. Really should I just drag it out to the road.” Indiana shouted as he left the fedora over his eyes. He was ennuyé, it wasn’t supposed to happen this way. Nobody acts this way. Indiana was sure something was up.
“Yeah go ahead. By tomorrow the flies should eat what’s left of them.” Meagan shouted.
Bull crap, something was up. Indiana thought to himself.

Indiana opened the door and began dragging the heavy corpses’ out into the street, he lay the body along side the rode. He cringed from the smell and decay that had accumulated even over that short piece of time. He walked back inside, laid himself back on the couch, tipped his fedora over his head and drifted back to sleep.

Chapter VII The Aerial adventures

Indiana tossed a gun inside a small black suitcase along with a long snakelike whip it was tan in color and measured about 10 feet, also several small knives and one grenade. He was ready for what was coming. At least that was how Indy thought it to be. Meagan came hopping down the stairs ready. She had a gun holster attached to her side; her hair was waving in the air as she came down. “Are you ready to go.”
“Yeah I’ll just pack these things up and we can go on in just a few minutes,” Indiana said walking toward the beaten in door. Meagan followed bringing with her, keys and an extra knife, which she stuck along the inside of her boot.
The day was sunny and cheerful, not at all what was going to be happening although Indiana still took it all in and made the best of the horrible week he was to face. Indiana sat down inside the car and decided to let Meagan drive them to the airfield.
They drove across the two dead bodies, which were now infested with flies and basically wasted away, part of their skulls began to show, and a purple colored ooze had covered them.

They drove up a dirt road then through a small area of trees then back onto a dirt road, where there sat a very small mini-plane, and a beaten up rusted over shack. The metal ceiling of the shack had rusted over and was orange in color, several beams of sun shot through the holes; the ground has covered with orange colored rust from chipping of the shack. It had a small table and a wheel stacked outside, inside was bare except for a single creaky wooden chair. Goodsport was waiting there leaning on the plane, he had a jacket slung on his shoulder, he was dressed in regular pants, and a white shirt, he had his dusty blonde hair neatly done, with the early morning dew glistening around his black boots. He had a small black gun sticking out the front of his pants, allowing for quick grabbing in case of emergencies.
“Bout time you guys got here” Goodsport said unloading the car, he had a huge gash across his forehead, he had a look of triumph, and almost seemed proud of his detriment, it made him feel powerful, manly. “Did y’all get some Nazi’s come to visit you guys too.” He chuckled and flexed a muscle, then walked up beside Meagan. Indiana looked across at them, he didn’t realize how tall he was, or how short she was, either way, with Goodsport standing alongside Meagan, he looked to be a good foot taller.
“Yeah, I take it you did too. How’d you get that scar on your head” Indiana said after loading the plane. He then pulled out three parachutes and pushed them into the plane. Then Meagan walked over to Indiana, she looked at him in his bruised eye, as she stood next to him, he noticed Goodsport was only about six inches taller than she was. He laughed, he hadn’t paid near as much attention the time before, he guessed because he may have been because at the time they had just met, now only having met once, were nearly best of friends.
“Ah, I accidentally cut myself killing the man.” Goodsport said rubbing his scar, then gave a chuckle.
“Hey what did you do with the body, we just through the thing outside.” Indiana laughed aloud, climbed in the plane, giving Meagan and Goodsport a hand-up into the plane.
“I just pushed mine out the window and it fell into the garbage Dumpster outside, so I guess it’s still there” Goodsport chuckled. “Uh we got some company, and by the looks of those guns?” He then gave a low grunt, and said slowly “It ain’t good!” Goodsport cocked his pistol and handed it to Indy, “Listen Jones” he handed him a long black cable “I want you to hook this to the wing, we will try to take off but as we are you try to get those gunmen, is that Ok.”
“Ok” Indiana took the gun and cable and hooked it onto the plane wing; he stood there as the plane slowly started to take off. He aimed carefully and fired, got em. The car was swerving across the dirt road “Stop car stop, cant you hold still” Indy finally just used two more bullets on one tire, the car began skidding to a halt, but the machine gun fire kept coming strong.
The plane began to take lift; Indiana lost his footing, he slipped off the wing and tumbled several feet, only by luck was he able to catch the cord again, his gun had fallen to the ground. He pulled himself back up to the front of the wing; the bullets from the machine gun whizzed past his head, he was only barely able to dodge the bullets, the wind from the plane nearly knocked him to the floor with every dodge. He looked down to be surprised to find that they were only five feet above ground. He reached inside his shoulder bag. The wind rushing in his face and the brim of his fedora was flapping in his eyes. The powerful force from the wind began stinging his eyes, preventing him from seeing much but he was still able to make out shapes, almost small blurry shapes, he pulled his secondary weapon out. He took aim fired and hit one of the men straight through the nose, he thought to himself, I must’ve gotten lucky. He then realized he didn’t have enough time, he took aim one more time, he pointed his gun straight at the gasoline tank, he clicked his pistol, the bullet roared from the chamber and into the car. The car exploded into a firing inferno. The men jumped from the car, they were still alive they were rushing across the grass, which from lack of rain, had dried, and now caught on fire. The plane drew higher; this took Indy by surprise he flipped back, barely catching the end of the cord. It was wire and it began to dig into his skin. His outer layer of membrane was rubbing off, the blood made him slip and slide down the rope, his hands began burning. He wanted to end the pain and just let go, but he couldn’t something made him try harder, almost like a hidden energy burst. Soon he was hanging by one hand, He finally got up the strength he pulled himself inch by inch, finally making it back to the plane’s door. He pulled himself inside, he felt the top of his head, and the hat, oddly enough, was still sitting there, just as it had been before, just a bit bedraggled from the wind but otherwise still fine.
He looked down at his hands they were red covered in blood, he tore off a piece of the flaps on his shirt and wrapped them around his hand as a makeshift bandage.
Goodsport looked back at Indy, “It may be a while, I think we lost quite a bit of fuel, back there and an engine, so we are going by one engine, but I think we can make it.”
“Ok, good.” Indy leaned back and loaded his gun. “It’s going to be a long week,” he whispered to himself.

The plane swerved to the right, the winds were severely damaged. They had been flying for three hours straight and they had come across some company, a German fighter pilot was on their tail and gaining, it blasted at them, they swerved and dodged trying to get free from their clutches.
“Why the hell do the want you so badly.” Meagan shouted at Indiana over the roar from the two planes.
“How the heck would I know?” He did, he knew something was going on here, but how had the Nazis learned so quickly, it was impossible. Their had to be something fishy going on.
“Guess you’re a pretty important guy?” Meagan said, “considering they’re going through all this to prevent you from succeeding.”
“Guess s…” Indiana was cut off, tumbling through the floor before he quickly got up and looked out the window. Still coming on strong. Damn. Indiana had no idea what to do.
Indiana reached for his army satchel; he looked inside, and pulled out a grenade. Indiana cursed and threw open the door to the plane. He tied a cord around his waist and to the handhold on one of the chairs, he hoped it would stay. “What am I? A British spy?” Meagan looked up to see what he said then just as quickly averted her eyes back to the controls of the plane, but in that glance she saw terror in her heart, a knowing they would die, soon, soon.
With arms outstretched Indiana leapt out of the plane tumbling before the rope came to it’s end, Indy went souring through the sky, fighting to get close to the Nazi plane, his grenade tightly clenched in one firm hand. The wind whipped his body upward sending a roar of pain through his body. Soon he was but ten feet from the eyes of the Nazi. He looked bewildered, as if he had died and gone to… no matter, Indiana fought the wind and terror and made his way to the screen of the plane. Then threw, or released as the wind did most of the work, the grenade and let it crash through the window of the Nazi plane. The nazi, inadvertently, trying to get away from the grenade, pushed the wheel down, causing the plane to nose down. Indy watched as the thing blasted into a roaring inferno sending searing hot parts of metal through the air cutting his skin. Slowly he began climbing the rope.

Meagan was looking back at the daring feats Indiana had just accomplished. She looked back into the plane now and saw that the bar holding Indiana was now beginning to break. Quickly, without thinking, she grabbed hold of the bar, it was heavy, requiring all her strength.
Indiana Jones was jerked backward, he felt the bar break, he looked up, expecting to see the bar flying down toward him, instead him saw Meagan struggling with all her might to keep a firm grip and not let go.
Meagan fought the rope, the wind, and the weight, dragging it to a corner of the plane, and hooked it through a metal serious f tubing, the pipes bent but otherwise held up well.
Indiana felt things get sturdy again as he once again began lifting his body back up to the plane. Once he reached his way back to the plane, he stood in front of them with a smile on his face. He had lived, he did it!
“Indy that was astounding.” Meagan cheered running up to him through the small plane.
“A good piece of work there buddy” Goodsport smiled.
“Well, I uh…” and Indiana collapsed to the floor with a thud!

The plane swerved as Indy was shook awake, Goodsport was speaking to him, and his usual humorous contented mannerisms had vanished completely. “Dr. Jones get ready, were about to crash I would have thought we would make it, me and Meagan are already in our parachutes, you need to get yours too. Listen” Goodsport was cut off.
Indiana got up, staggering to his feet; he felt a dull throb of pain in his head… more like his whole body he thought. He tried to move but only stumbled to the floor. He reached up and felt a large bump on his forehead. His hands were shredded to pieces.
“Listen Jones, Goodsport, I’m jumping now. You and Indy better hurry we are going down fast,” Meagan leaped through the door, it was only a few seconds before Indy saw Meagan’s chute fly open.
“Ok Jones here’s yours, I’m jumping” The wind whipped across Goodsports face, he leaped into the air and eventually released his shoot.
Indiana looked down at his chute, “Oh shi…” he looked and saw he had a backpack, he could only do one thing.
He walked to the door and looked out it was a long way down, he waited several seconds, waiting, waiting till he got close enough to the water. He walked to the back, got enough speed and began running towards the door; he reached his arms forward and leaped into the air. The wind whipped into his hair, his eyes were sealed shut the by the force, he hurtled through the air flipping up and down. Finally he came down slashing through the water, the force created a terrible stinging sensation through his body, he went down about 20 feet, he looked up and everything looked like a light purple. He swam upward kicked his feet rapidly, the weight from his clothes pulled him downward he kept fighting harder and harder till finally he was able to surface. He lifted his head up, he kept gasping for breath he looked off to the side, and the plane crashed into the water sucking him down again, he began fighting against everything to stay afloat. Ironically his hat stayed on top of his head, Indy grunted and swam toward Goodsport.
“Listen you gave me the wrong damn bag, that wasn’t a parachute, that was a backpack” Indiana growled at Goodsport.
Goodsport chuckled, “Well all I can say is” Goodsport smiled “oops.”
“Oops my butt, I coulda been killed” Indiana was still fighting to stay above water.
“No really man I’m sorry about that” Goodsport was still laughing. “Hey where’s Meagan.” Goodsport looked around he wasn’t laughing anymore
“I don’t know didn’t you see her” Indiana was worried, worried about losing another partner and friend.
“Listen we should head off to land or something, we cant stay here, which way do we go” Indiana asked trying to stay afloat.
“Damnit… Uh… I absolutely do not know” Goodsport said frowning.
The sky began to turn dark purple and blue, Goodsport and Indy began swimming not knowing where they were headed. The water was freezing cold, after several hours it felt as though they wouldn’t survive, but that made them all the more determined to press forward.

Chapter VIII The Lions Den
Berlin

Indiana lifted his head above the water he could see several feet ahead of him, the air was cold and the sky grew darker, he scanned the area, there was a forest nearby, if they could get to the road they could find their way. He realized where he was now; it was probably a park of some sort. He once again scanned the area, making sure no patrolmen were in sight, and slowly swam on. He could only give out shallow breaths, the water was freezing, and his lungs were tight, almost shut closed, he could see his breath through the crisp air. He then continued to swim, his muscles nearly giving out with each and every dip, he was sure something was broken, or maybe everything thing, he was sure most of his ribs were broken; after this it may be a miracle I ever walk again, Indiana though.
“What are you thinking about” Goodsport whispered.
“Nothing. I don’t know, but we should be careful. Let me go first” Indiana whispered back.
They began swimming again, the water was freezing cold, and one could easily catch pneumonia. They then pulled themselves onto the ground, it was wet and muddy, Indy felt the front of his jacket become caked in the slimy green mess; they surveyed the land before them, it was covered in dense forest. Nothing but green, they also saw near the edges, small picnic tables and other items, and a walking trail, footprints of both human and animal ranging in size. Indiana cocked his head to the side; he heard the howl of a dog he looked to his left and right. ‘It was the patrol’, he thought to himself. If they find them here they could be tortured, or killed; he turned around to see Goodsport getting over the chill from the water.
He whispered to Goodsport, “We had better hurry I heard one of the patrol’s dog’s howl”
Goodsport shivered and then gave a weak reply “Y-Y-Yes I heard t–t-th-them too, we Mah-mah-mah-may be able to da-da-d-dodge them, only pr-pr-problem is we may get lah-luh-luh-lost and a-a-a-as ya-ya-you s-s-s-see its very large and duh-dark, possibly duh-dangerous” Goodsport was about to say something else but Indy silenced him. He couldn’t talk straight through the chill of the water, and it began to annoy Indy.
Indiana walked carefully forward, he could see nothing, and there were no lights or anything to guide him, who he knew was good because he may be seen, the howls began growing louder.
Goodsport pulled out his knife, he held it in front of him if anything came he would be ready.
Now the howls grew louder and he could hear German speech, Indiana began taking deeper breaths. The sound grew louder, until he was able to make out
“You there, halt” It was a German, he and the other Germans proceeded, the snarling dogs leaped at the end of their leashes tugging to get away. “What are you doing here, no one is allowed out at this time of night” The German said.
“Suh-Suh-Sorry wa-we h-had to take a wa-w-walk… uh our w-wives kicked us out” Goodsport lied. Then started trying to walk away. His speech began getting better, of course he was also getting warmer, now that he had been out of the water long enough!
“Stop, hold on you’re coming with us,” The German said.
The man at the back pocketed a piece of paper he looked down at it, his eyes bulged, he walked to the head patrolman, then whispered in German “You may want to take a look at this.”
The German looked down; he saw the face of Indy, Goodsport, and Meagan. “Soo, you are the spies, kill them” He began to draw his gun.
As the German was drawing his gun with one quick thrust Indy clutched the fierce man’s arm. With his other hand he wrenched the gun to the ground, then just as quickly his fist shot forward knocking the man to the ground.
“RUN!” Indy shouted toward Goodsport!
The Nazi’s let the dogs loose they growled and snarled then ran after their prey already tasting the blood. Indiana and Goodsport kept running despite the dogs and shots behind them, then the Nazi’s began running too with their guns blazing, for only momentarily would the gun fire would illuminate the images ahead of them. The brush swept across Indy’s face. Goodsport, trying to push away the branches and leaves, tripped over a large log, he flew several feet to the ground landing on his back, Indiana glanced back and then turned to go help his friend to his feet, by then the Germans had caught up. One dog began biting at Goodsports ribs tearing away at his flesh, Goodsport took his knife and thrust it into the dog’s leg, and he didn’t want to kill it, just injure it. Indiana uncoiled his whip, the Germans got closer not seeing the snakelike weapon ready to strike. Their guns were pointed at Indy and Goodsport, Indiana cracked the whip in the air, which got the Nazi’s attention, which had them all pointing their guns at Indy they were lined in single file. Indy smiled and hoped it worked he thrust his whip, which grabbed the last Germans rifle, gave a quick tug, twisting that gun knocking the other guns to their side just as the trigger was pulled and one by one each other murdered each other. Indy then gave another thrust, which sent the rifle flying towards him. He grabbed it then shot the last living man.
Goodsport was still fighting the dogs off him, Indiana gave another loud crack then whipped the leg of the dog and one by one sent the dog’s whimpering away. By then Indiana heard a whistle, “shit” Indy thought to himself “they must have heard the gun shots, c’mon Goodsport were getting ya the hell outta here”. He pulled Goodsport up and began running deeper into the forest, he pulled out his gun ready for a shoot out. “All right” he thought, “you sun of a bitches will have to kill me to catch me.” He ran onwards. Finally he could see a clearing, it was the road, and he surveyed the area, nothing, not a single hiding spot.
Then he saw it up ahead he saw a small bait shop. He ran up to it, he saw that it was locked, he ran around back and busted in one of the windows. He then pulled Goodsport inside; he closed the curtain hoping no one would notice the broken glass. The Germans ran past the shop, Indiana smiled then waited for them to go on down the road, then he pulled Goodsport outside, Goodsport was bleeding badly they would have to wait before they could complete their mission. He waited a while making sure it was safe. He dragged Goodsport across the street. He waited for a car to drive by then proceeded to help Goodsport stagger to the other side, clutching him by the shoulder walking him around. He found a bench. He laid Goodsport across the bench. He ripped up Goodsports jacket into shreds and then tightly bound it across Goodsports chest to stop the bleeding. He then helped Goodsport walk across the sidewalk of the barren street. He saw what looked to be, a hospital, he dragged Goodsport inside. The doctor immediately took him in.
“Sir, We will need to take him to a Hospital in London, but don’t worry we will treat him as best we can here, and as soon as the helicopter arrives we will take him in. Was it the Nazi’s?” The Doctor asked Indiana
“Yeah sure, take extra careful care of him, he was my partner. Yes it was the Nazi’s, why how did you know?” Indiana replied. This was very peculiar to Indiana, in America; you had to sign a hundred page questionnaire before you could see the doctor. Then you had to wait in the office for hours just to get someone to check your temperature. The by the time the doctor was in, your sicknesses would have vanished and the doctor would simply send you away. But here you were immediately taken into care with friendly service… something was wrong, besides it was only a flesh wound. And how come they hadn’t taken him too? He was in just as bad or worse shape!
“Oh, they’ve been terrorizing everyone, I am totally against them, and if you’re a spy I support you.” The Doctor said. “We will take utmost care of your partner.”
What the heck is going on, something is seriously wrong. But, he saw in the doctors eyes, he was trustworthy, there was just something, some trustworthy force.
“Uh yeah, sure” Indy stuttered “I gotta go,” Indiana walked down the stairs of the hospital and out the door. He then walked down the street. As he was walking he saw a group of German Soldiers walking down the street, he took another look. Indiana saw to his surprise, they were drunk, Indiana stood there motionless as they walked by paying him no attention. Indiana then proceeded to walk through the deserted street.
He kept walking; he didn’t know what to look for. Finally an arm clutched his shoulder and dragged him into a back alley.
