Thank you very much for your input. When I wrote the part with the plants, I assumed that Indy had read it in the book as both Randy and him have been doing some research on the subject. This is the forest of the Poison-plants that see you with their eyes and feel your presence. This is not a metaphor, it's what these plants are all about; it is what Indy read in the book. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to convey this idea to my readers very well.
As far as the Nazis are concerned, they destroyed part of the forest with their guns to get to the tomb. Unfortunately Indy and Randy did not find this path and had to take another one since the whole city is surrounded by the forest. Since Randy is my POV (point of view) I am not supposed to know and describe what other people do if Randy is not present.
It's true that the real Indy might have reacted or spoken differently in some situations; that's mainly because we've got a Lekka vs Lucas kind of thing here. ;-))
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to comment on my writing.

: "The plants have eyes, they see us and feel our presence"??? What is this??? Indy is a realistic survivalist...not a sage or a soothsayer! Nice entry however...that part just bugged me :)

: P.S. How did the Nazis get in thorugh that nasty forest? Ahh well..

: Georgiana!
