Indiana James Lambert = This one isn't too hard to fathom, since mercenaries tend to do this at times (at least I think they do).

Brett Lambert = I imagine it could be because his character was sick and tired of being the 'computer hacker extraordinaire' (as Brett himself wrote in Chapter 23) instead of seeing action in the field. It's kind of a stretch, but unlike in Aragorn's case, at least his inner turmoil between serving the Phoenix Group and his own brother was kind of explained.

Aragorn = The only reason I can imagine him switching sides without any kind of motivation I could read in the whole fanfic forum novel (so far, at least) could probably have something to do with the 'mysterious voice' that keeps pulling him back into the 'other realm'. I know that's really stretching, but it's the only reason I can think of!


I could be wrong about any or all of this. Let me know! :)
