    It depends on the year:

    In Raiders of the Lost Ark (1936), Indiana Jones taught at Marshall College.

    In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1938), he taught at Barnett College.

    Apparently, they both are situated about three or four miles (by train or automobile) outside of New York City.
