: Chapter 47 [Down The River] (written by Short Round)

: Brett, Indiana James and the Fiddler struggled to run with their hands bound with handcuffs. Jerico, Aragorn, Goodsport and Short Round were close behind. Ahead of everyone else, the Lamberts were near a river, so all they really had to do was to jump in, float upstream, and their escape would be successful. "This is gonna be cool!" the Lamberts said to themselves.
: "There they are!" Jerico shouted. Jerico tackled the closest escapee to him - the Fiddler. He grabbed him by the collar, kneed him in the stomach and punched him in the jaw. The others were ahead after the Lamberts. Goodsport jumped and tackled Brett to the ground. Brett kicked Goodsport in the stomach and struggled to get up with only his feet. Aragorn ran after James while Shorty went to tackle Brett. He got Brett to the ground. Before he had a chance to punch Brett, Brett headbutted Shorty and kicked him in the stomach, making him stagger a few yards away. Brett slipped his hands under his legs, bringing his handcuffed hands in front of him. Goodsport then went and grabbed Brett. Then Brett slammed his head back into Goodsport's jaw. He got up and started running.
: Only a few feet near the river, James was being held by Aragorn in a headlock, and Aragorn started to squeeze, making James' face turn red. Brett slammed into him from behind, and Aragorn let go of James. Aragorn fell to the ground, as did James, who was in his grip. Brett kicked Aragorn in the side.
: "Messing with my brother huh? Well, now I'll mess with you!" Brett kicked him again in the stomach. He then punched Aragorn with his both bound hands, in the back of the head knocking him out.
: Goodsport got up, holding his stomach. He ran to Shorty, who was on the floor.
: "Shorty! Shorty, buddy you ok?" Goodsport said. Shory started to groan as Goodsport shook him. Shorty's head was throbbing like a jackhammer!
: "Man! My head is @*&%#@#*@&)in' poundin' like a jackhammer." Shorty started to rub his forehead.
: "Shorty! Stay here! If I'm in trouble I'll holar!" Goodsport ran to where Brett and James were.
: James was still getting getting up.
: "Come James--" Brett then saw Goodsport running toward them, as did James. "Come on JamesÖ move!"
: "Go BrettÖ go!"
: "NO!"
: "Just GO!" James barked.
: Brett was running along side of the river. Goodsport noticed James was kind of stalling, so he ran after Brett. He tripped Brett and grabbed him by the hair.
: "You're lucky I don't hurt you now!" Goodsport said.
: "I'd like to see you try, pal!" A voice from behind said.
: James rammed into Goodsport making him trip and fall into the flowing river.
: "HALP!" Goodsport yelled at the top of his lungs as the tide started to carry him along the river.
: Shorty heard Goodsport's yell for help and ran as fast as he could to the river. His head throbbed with each step.
: "Come on let's go!" Brett yelled as him and James ran. Shorty started to catch up to the river. Shorty tried to spot his pal Goodsport. He heard Goodsport's yell again. Shorty followed the sound and saw Goodsport along the river.
: Jerico was guarding the Fiddler and giving him a few punches now and then. Jerico then heard a yell - it was Goodsport. Jerico ran as fast as he could to where it came from. He saw Shorty running alongside the river, and noticed Goodsport flowing along the river in big trouble! Jerico then noticed the two Lamberts getting away.
: "Shorty'll take care of him. Got to get those pests!" Jerico started to run after the Lamberts.
: Goodsport struggled to fight the current. Shorty was able to get a little bit ahead of him.
: "Goodsport!" Shorty yelled. "Goodsport! Try to move close to me! I can lend you a hand!"

: Chapter 48 [Joining The Rushing River] (written by Indiana James Lambert)

: Jerico continued to run after Brett and James through the thick Swiss forest.
: To Brett's surprise, his handcuffs snapped apart and broke in two pieces.
: "Jeez! What kind of a budget are these hosers on!? These are worse than those Fisher Price play handcuffs!" Brett remarked to James as they ran.
: "Well, mine are still intact! Yours must have been faulty," James said as he tried to pull his wrists apart as they ran.
: Jerico drew his gun and aimed it at James' back.
: Brett turned around and hollered, "Duck!" But it was too late. Jerico fired and hit James in his left thigh.
: "Argh!" James cried as he fell to the ground.
: "That takes care of one," Jerico said as he ran toward Brett, who was trying to help his brother up.
: "Geez, it's a shame Maverick! You didn't need to fly the coup on usÖ I don't know what we are going to do with traitors like you," Jerico said, hovering over Brett and James.
: "He's my brother, you bastardÖ and you shot him," Brett said as he secretly clutched a thick branch behind his back.
: "We'll get him all patched up and good as new. Then we'll question him and send him to Valinor!" Jerico laughed.
: "You'll do no such thing!" Brett yelled, smacking the branch across Jerico's face, cutting his nose.
: "OW! My face!" Jerico yelped as he wiped away some of the blood that gushed from the cut on his nose.
: "Yeah, your beautiful face!" Brett chided sarcastically, as he tackled Jerico's feet and slammed him to the ground. The two exchanged punches, kicks, jabs, and scratching. They rolled around, and soon found themselves just a few feet away from another bend in the river.
: Then a sound erupted in the forest. It sounded like a bearÖ and it was! It was coming right for them.
: Seeing the bear, Brett kicked Jerico in the jaw and ran in the opposite direction.
: The bear growled once more, then took a swipe at Jerico.
: "AHHH!" Jerico screamed as he felt his shirt torn to shreds. He made a split second decisionÖ he rolled over and fell into the river, saving himself from the jaws of death.
: Brett managed to get back to his injured brother, still in the exact place where he had left him.
: "Did you kick his ass?" James asked, weakly.
: "Yeah, I did. Now he's floating downstream with Goodsport," Brett replied.
: "Good job..." James said, grinning.
: "Come on, let's get you patched up before anybody, or anything , comes after us."

: Chapter 49 [Running In The Family] (written by Tessa)

: Tessa came back from the bathroom, the ring glowing on her finger. She looked at it curiously and wondered, Why does it keep doing that?. The elderly Indiana Jones noticed it and asked,
: "Where did you get that?"
: "When I was floating in the ocean on my way to Poland. I found it in my pocket." Tessa then looked at the ring, "It kinda reminds me of my wedding ring."
: "You're married? But you're so youngÖ"
: "Separated at the moment," she answered, as she sat down on the seat across from him, "and I'm not young. I'll be twenty-three in November."
: Indiana smiled a bit and said, "Now about that ring?"
: Tessa took it off her finger and handed it to him. "Do you know what it means?"
: He nodded and said, "I believe so. But firstÖ" as he got up, "I need to see if my daughter can meet us in Nepal and help out with research."
: "Daughter?" Tessa looked astonished.
: "Yes, my daughter. You've wrote about her in your novels."
: "Well, I'll be damned," replied a surprised Tessa, "I just made up the family."
: "It's all true. I was married and have three kids. My daughter is the archeologist now. Has been since she got her taste of it when she was sixteen."
: Tessa smiled as Dr. Jones went to the Phoenix Group to ask for a phone. Handed one, he dialed a number and heard,
: "Archeology department, Dr. Stephens' office."
: "I need to talk to Dr. Stephens."
: "She's in a meeting, sir."
: "Tell her that her father is on the phone and needs to talk to her."
: "I'll tell her, sir. Is there a number?"
: "Just get her on the phone!" he barked, shocking members of the Phoenix Group.
: He heard muffled voices and another voice came on the line,
: "Hello?"
: "Micki?" Henry asked, surprised.
: "Grandpa? What's wrong?"
: "Micki, I need to speak to your mother. It's urgent!"
: "Mum's in a meeting with the department. Can I pass her a message?"
: "Yeah," he answered, looking at the members of the group, "tell her to get the first plane out of Paris to Nepal. I'll meet her there."
: "What's this about?"
: "Never mind. Just tell her."
: "Okay. Bye, Grandpa."
: "Bye, Micki. See you soon," finished Jones, hanging up the phone.
: "What," Indy asked, "was that about?"
: "You're about to meet another person who knows all about Valinor," Indiana smiled, "My daughter."
: "Your daughter?" Meg and Indy gasped in surprise.
: "Yes, my daughter. She doesn't use her real name. Her pseudonym is Alexandra Stephens."
: "I've read about her," Micah said, "She's one of the foremost archeologists in Europe and the States."
: "What's her real name?" Meg asked, intrigued.
: "You should all know from Tessa's novels," he said with a grin, "her real name is Lauren Jones."

: Chapter 50 [Meeting Up With Father] (written by Tessa)

: A young looking woman was sitting in her office, meeting with several members of the faculty at Sorbonne. She looked out the window, deep in thought. Who ever thought I'd be living life like this? A voice then interrupted her thoughts.
: "Dr. Stephens, do you agree with the proposed changes in the class structure?"
: "Hmmm?" she snapped out of her reverie and stared at the men. "Yes, of course. I believe this meeting is over, gentlemen. Have a good afternoon."
: The men left as a younger version of the woman walked into the office. The leaving professors said their hellos. The girl, who just turned eighteen the previous spring, looked at the woman at the desk and said, "Hi, Mom."
: "Micki?" the woman looked up at her daughter, "What are you doing here?"
: "I came by to register for classes in the fall," the girl answered, her hazel eyes twinkling back at her mother's blue ones.
: "I'm busy, Micki," Dr. Stephens replied, shuffling her papers a bit. "I'll be home as soon as possible."
The girl rolled her eyes, familiar to the routine while growing up, and said, "I have a message for you."
: "From who?"
: "Grandpa," Micki said.
: Her mother's glare softened a bit as she said, "Something the matter?"
: "He wants you to meet him in Nepal."
: "Nepal?" the mother asked curiously, "Why Nepal?"
: "I don't know. He just told me to tell you."
: How odd, she thought as she looked at her daughter, Dad's never demanded orders before. She grabbed her coat and briefcase, and headed out the door with Micki . She told her secretary on the way out, "Lisette, tell President Chardin that I had to leave for an urgent matter. I don't know when I'll be back."
: "Of course, Professor Stephens."
: Back at her home in the outskirts of Paris, the woman dressed in her usual fieldwork garb inherited from her father - a black leather jacket, fedora, black work boots, comfortable field pants and a man's work shirt. After tying her gray streaked brownish hair and throwing her whip and revolver in her suitcase, Micki appeared in the doorway wearing jeans and a T-shirt, with a suitcase at her side. Dr. Stephens looked at her and asked, "What is the devil's name are you doing?"
: "I'm going too, Mum," the girl giving a defiant glare to her mother.
: "Absolutely not," she roared, "you're staying in Paris, Michaela Katherine Jones."
: "I can protect myself, Lauren!" Micki sneered, "I took judo and karate, and you showed me how to fire a gun a long time ago."
: Lauren winced at her daughter's tone. She looked at her, gave her a grin, and shutting her suitcase said, "All right Micki, call a cab for the airport."

: The Phoenix Group looked in disbelief at Indiana Jones, as their plane started to make their descent to Switzerland. Michaelson spoke first and asked, "Your daughter is an archeologist?"
: "The best one out there," he boasted, "she's got my determination and adventurous streak, and her mother's feisty streak."
: "Who's her mother?" Indy asked.
: "Katherine Tyler, president of a music company with several branches throughout the world," Meg answered.
: They all stared at her as Meg shrugged, revealing, "I've been reading the forum novels."
: "This is getting strange," Indy said. Indiana smiled and said, "You just didn't realized how much Tessa hit on the novels."
: They all grinned at Tessa, who was still in shock as Indiana continued, "My sons went on different routes and careers. Lauren was the only one who really liked archeology. So she created her new name while doing her graduate studies. Using her mother's middle names - Alexandra and Stephanie, which are after her mother's parents - she made a name for herself."
: "Who's Micki?" Michaelson inquired.
: "Micki?" Indiana was lost for a moment, and then brightened, "Oh, you mean my granddaughter, Michaela. She's a smart girlÖ just turned eighteen last March."
: "Who's the father?" Meg asked.
: Indiana's eyes softened a bit and said, "A colleague who worked with her years back. They were living together and had two children, Jack and Micki. Never got married and he died when she was pregnant with Micki. Killed by an Indian tribe in Central America."
: The Group nodded in agreement as the cell phone rang. Micah took it from Indiana's grasp and said, "Hello?"
: "It's Jerico," said a ragged voice, "where are you?"
: "Landing in the airport at Bern. Anything to report?"
: "The Lamberts and the Fiddler escaped. Goodsport, Short Round, and I are heading to the airport after a trip to the hospital."
: "What happened?"
: "Got attacked by a bear and swam down a river. But we're in one piece."
: "Where's Aragorn?"
: "He's disappeared, sir. I don't know where."
: "Find him!" Micah barked as he looked at his colleagues. "The sooner we do, the sooner we head to Nepal."
