There is no official information yet regarding the dvd release. Only rumors have surfaced. However, Paramount just began releasing on dvd in Fall 1998. The time and content of the release is probably a decision made by Lucasfilm (as will be the decision when to release the dvd Star Wars trilogy.) Look down on the message board in Summer and Fall of 1998- this has been discussed much in the past. belloq
