I read a post awhile back concerning what is and what is not
to be considered valid in Indy's history, i.e. the novels, comics,
and young Indy chronicles and movies. I would like to make a statement and tell the guy that said the Marvel comics are not
valid, that you are very wrong. In the Further Adventures of Indiana Jones, it tells us of Indy's and Marion's relationship after Raiders as well as adventures with Jock, Captain Katanga, and Short Round. And, in one of my favorite stories, Xomec's Raiders, Indy does, indeed go to Marrakech to track down the golden idol (as mentioned
to Marcus in Raiders) and retrieve it successfully. There are, however, examples of the comics that are definitely NOT valid story lines. The Dragon by the Tail issue, as well as the last four issues of the series. But some, like The City of Yesterday's Forever, where Indy and marion go searching in the Himalayas to see if Abner Ravenwood is still alive, is valid, yet somewhat controversial.
