Question about Raiders...

I was watching Raiders the other night when I noticed that Indy handed his gun and whip over to Belloq. Did he have extras when he got home? If a whip now a days is $350 how much was it for Indy and did he have enough to afford it?
I seem to think so because of all the things he sold to marcus. I think Indy is rather well off. Don't you guys?
