I have had three pairs of Aldens (two I still own and wear), and yes, indeed, they do darken to more of a russet brown color. If you'd like to get rid of the stark white stitching on the mocassin toe without having to wait for them to get dirty, take some brown kiwi shoe polish and rub some on. They're great shoes-don't be afraid to wear them hard.
