I don't think there will be another book published--at least not for a loooonnnggg time. However, if the series were to continue, I'd love to see any of the following involved:

Clive Cussler (Flood Tide, Shock Wave, Inca Gold)
Frank Peretti (The Door in the Dragon's Mouth, Trapped at the Bottom of the Sea)
Lloyd Alexander (The El Dorado Adventure, The Drackenberg Adventure)
Wilbur Smith (Birds of Prey, The Seventh Scroll, River God)
George C. Chesbro (The Golden Child, Beast of Valhalla)
Lionel Davidson (The Rose of Tibet, The Menorrah Men, Kolimsky Heights)
Jerry Ahern (The Takers, The River of Gold)

The only ones I can really see doing it are Chesbro and Ahern, mainly because they could use the work and the exposure. Also, Chesbro's already adapted movie source materials. Most of the others are already very well-established and make way too much money doing their own thing--but I can dream.
