The Foxtrot comic strip is FILLED with Indy references. In one, Jason was making Valentines for his school party with the "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" them...

"you've stolen my heart, valentine!"

Also, for the week when YIJC premeired, Bill Amend (the cartoonist) drew a six-strip series that had Peter (as Indy-16) and Jason (as Indy-10), each anxiously awaiting the show. Donning fedoras and cracking their own whips, they caused more than a little damage...

"Now I know why 'old Indy' wears an eye patch."
