There was an account I read in a book The Encyclopedia of Monsters which stated that a priest, as he was sailing on his boat through the Amazon River one night, spied something glowing in the distance. Thinking that it was a spotlight of another boat, he tried to get a closer look. Imagine gis surprise when he found out that it an eye of a giant anaconda reflected by the lamp he was holding. He estimated that it was it was at least 30 feet, and that was just the part that was above water. Just bear in mind that this is just an eyewitness account, and although the priest might not be lying, there's a chance that he might've overestimated.
If you really want to know, though, grab a copy of The Guinness Book of World Records. It's there, and it's authenticated.
