: Okay so it's a different kettle of fish, but the stories those were much better than any MacGregor or McCoy novels...I thought they
: portrayed Indy well, and they never fell back on the Nazis, except once, Dragon of Vengeance. I'd protect those books with my life, and I think some of their stories would make fantastic templates for movies, unlike any of the other novels. Plus The Cup of Djemsheed story was stolen somewhat for the Last Crusade.

: Who else has read them, and what do they think, (forgetting Ape Slaves of Howling Island).

Hey. I wholeheartedly agree. Those books were great. "Eye of the Fates"
was a personal favorite. And although the series implied that Indy had
a brother/sister with a nephew, I think they really stayed true to the spirit
of the movies. My two cents.
