: I recently bought the game 'Outlaws' after reading some of the positive comments about it here on the forum. However, I think there may be a problem with my copy. When I select the main game and the introductory video sequence plays, it seems to cut to the 'loading game' screen before the sequence is finished. It plays only as far as the point where you can see the two horse-mounted villains in the background approaching the little girl on the swing in the foreground. Then it rudely cuts to the 'loading game' screen. Am I only meant to assume that they take the girl and murder her mother, or is my CD-ROM withholding actual footage of these events? If my computer is indulging in a bit of gratuitous censorship, does anyone know how I can rectify the problem?

: Many thanks,

Hey, Satipo. I noticed that the first day I got Outlaws. Apparantly,
there was a scene at the begining in which Dr. (Death) Jackson confronts
Anna at the door. I've seen screen shots of it at the Lucasarts web site.
Perhaps they thought it went too far. Later in the game, it is revealed
that the Anderson homestead was burned and that Anna was killed. It seems
unlikely that a company that once allowed players to microwave a hamster
(Maniac Mansion) would censor a game. Just my two cents.
