: When you are ordering Indy items over the net, such as the MK VII bag and holster from Surplus stores, DO NOT tell them that they were used in the Indiana Jones movies. Doing so raises the prices and makes it harder for others to buy. Once a dealer gets any notion that they are worth something, he will double the price. We have just seen this in regards to 'What Price Glory'. A few weeks ago Jerry was selling unused bags for $10, now they are gone up to $25! So someone had to have told him.
: So if you find obscure Indy items around the net, don't let the dealer know, just share it on the Forum.

Before you go bashing Jerry Lee, let me say that those bags USED to be 10 bucks, but now are 15 (NOT $25) bucks because he had to pay more to get the new stock. These are UNUSED bags but have soil from storage. The bags that aren't dirty are $25. And Jerry Lee talked me out of buying the $25 bag (which I'd originaly offered to buy) because he said I should save my money and just brush the dirt off.
Jerry Lee is a retired veteran and a stand-up guy. I'm sure he knows he could charge whatever he wanted for those bags and people'd pay for them. If you get one from Sentimental Journey (about the only other place you can get the MK-VII) it'll cost you about $75 after everything is said and done (and theirs are the dirty kind).
I agree with the premise of your post that we should try to keep the cat in the bag as long as possible on good deals, but just be careful where you're slinging mud and have your facts straight. No offense.
