I agree with your views on people trying to be Indiana Jones. I think this forum is getting too flooded with people asking about straps for the MK VII bag, and the exact zipper for a jacket. There's nothing wrong with wanting to get a fedora, though, that's all right. I think a good fan is one that loves the movies, may get some action figures and other merchandise. Trying to be Indiana Jones is almost insanity (but I'm sure there isn't anyone here like that). If the fan can separate reality from fiction, they are fine.

P.S. As much I love Star Wars, you wouldn't see me spending $25,000 to Rogaine myself into Chewbacca or gaing 300 pounds to be Jabba the Hutt.
