::I think he says it like he wants it too. He looks up to Indy, so he would want Indy to have his fortune and glory because he would share in it. Anyway, thats my two cents::

No, it's because earlier in the film, Shorty asked Indy what Shankara is, and Indy replied "Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory." Shorty was simply acknowledging that she was right.
