: I was reading the articles posted in regards to the Ark of the Covenant a couple of days ago. Interesting stuff. I remember reading Graham Hancock's book 'The Sign and the Seal' and recalled something about a depiction of the Ark of the Covenant and the Queen of Sheba on the south portico of Chartes Cathedral in Chartes, France which is located in the Loire river valley. Anyways I was able to actually visit and find it and had some good pictures developed recently. I am going to try and post them on the forum when I get a chance. The actual latin inscription underneath the stone sculpture is still very readable.
: It's funny that when I was looking for this on the cathedral I could almost hear the strains of the "Ark" theme. Funny, but true.

I too have read 'The Sign and the Seal' and I visited Chartres Cathedral when I was staying in Paris for a week. Unfortunately for me, I chose the same day that the President's wife was visiting it and the cathedral was closed to the public. I tried to get a glimpse of the carvings from behind the barrier, but to no avail. I'd very much like to see your pictures.

Adios,

Satipo
