Hey. I'd say it's because MacGregor figured we'd probably go do
some of our own research on the subject if we were interested. I
know I learned a lot about Easter Island after reading "Interior World."
As for Martin Caiden's novels, they really sucked and I didn't particularly want to know anything more about his choice of subjects. I do agree that McCoy's historical stuff was pretty interesting, and I
liked the way he included the titles of important books on the subjects. That really helped if you were interested in further research.
