Chapter 16

Kate woke up hours later in a dark cell on the floor. She looked around with disgust at the dirt on the floor, bars on the window and bars in front of the cell. She rubbed her head and wondered,
Where the hell am I?
Just then she heard a voice,
“Well, Miss Tyler, I see that you’re up.”
She looked up and saw the man from the hotel and asked,
“Who are you?”
“Names are not important.”
“Sure they are,” gritting her teeth, “Especially when you put me in this lodgings,” gesturing with her hand.
“I’m afraid you have to stay here, Miss Tyler or should I say Dr. Tyler?”
Kate’s eyes widened and asked,
“How do you know who I am?”
“Identification was in your suitcase. On your Julliard identification card.”
“I see,” standing up, “Now are you going to tell me who you are or what?”
“When the time comes, but first I want to know where Indiana Jones is?”
“How should I know?”
“You’re his future wife, you should know.”
Kate grinned at him and said,
“I don’t know,” coming to the bars to look at him, “And if I did, I wouldn’t tell you.”
The man laughed at her, grabbed her arm and said,
“You will tell,” pulling a needle from his pocket as another man came up to him and whispered in his ear. The man pulled the needle away and said,
“Looks like you don’t have to say anything, Dr. Tyler,” as he pushed her away from the bars with a force and walked away.
Kate fell to the ground as she prayed,
God, please let me live through this.

Indy, Patar, Marion, and Eliot arrived back to the hotel as the front desk waved two notes at Eliot and said,
“Mr. Ness you have a couple of messages.”
“Thank you,” taking them from the man. He read one, gave it to Indy and said,
“This one’s for you, Indy,” heading him an envelope.
Indy looked at the envelope addressed: “Indiana Jones in care of Eliot Ness” and put it in his pocket. Eliot skimmed the other letter and said,
“It’s from the agent the FBI sent to follow you. She’s reported that I’m here in Goa to them and wants to meet later.”
“FBI?”, Marion asked, “What do they want?”
“I’ll explain,” Eliot said looking around, “Upstairs.”
As they reached Kate’s room, Indy noticed the door opened a bit and thought I have a bad feeling about this.
They saw the room in a mess as Eliot called out,
“Kate, Kate, where are you?”
“Obviously not here,” Marion said, sitting down on the bed.
“Who could have done this?”, Patar asked.
Indy pulled the envelope from his pocket and tore it opened. He started reading and paled as Eliot asked,
“What happened?”
“Kate’s been kidnapped.”
“By who?”, Marion said, as Eliot grabbed the letter from him and started reading.
Indiana Jones:
We meet again, fiend. I have the one you treasured most.
You know where I am. Come alone.
“Indy,” Eliot asked, “Who is this?”
As Indy began to speak, they heard a voice,
“I believe I can answer that question.”
They turned around and saw Dawn Rampage, staring at them.

Ok, guys, no more from me for a while. I'm leaving for the weekend in the morning and I need to get work done here. I pass again the hat and whip.
