Dodgy effects in TLC

I rented TLC recently after not seeing it for a long time. (I refuse to buy it untill it's released in widescreen!!!) I must say I was dissapointed with the dodgy bluescreen effects in the airplane scenes.
It's just another example of a filmmaker trying too hard. It's like alot of movies recently that have been using second rate CGI intead of the real thing. Raiders while nearly a decade older used alot more stunts rather than visual effects and so remains timeless.
Don't get me wrong, TLC is still one of my all time favourite movies.
