Or how about this: Two all-powerful gods in charge of Indy's world, known as George and Steven, are telling a story about Henry Jones and his son and to increase the tension, the use something called parrallel editing or crosscutting to tell us two things at once and connect the two sequences.
The Force? Some people think too much, though I suppose everyone is gonna have Star Wars on the brain from now till sometime next year.
