What was Short Round thinking?

In the scene at the Temple, Indy said he'd better talk to Willie and sort things out, then Shorty said "Tell me later what happened?". Why would Shorty think Indy would tell him about how he had sex with her (it was obvious that it was his intention)? I don't think Indy would share such intimate details with a 10 year old.
