The bag I received looks so new that I can't believe it is 57 years old. The material is an even colour all over, and the brass fittings are as shiny as the buckles on my brand new webbing belts. There's no sign of corrosion anywhere. One thing I will point out is that the bag I received has textured press studs as opposed to smooth. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I think that the movie bags had smooth press studs.
