Anyhoo, thanks Aragorn, it answers my question perfectly.

It's just that I spotted some great movies on DVD at www.cdnow.com which are in their sale. Maybe you should have a look.

Dual viewing sounds a great idea. One neat thing about normal viewing mode is it's like a "zoom", which is great for spotting certain things...

DVD are only starting to take off here in the UK.
